LaxFactor Lacrosse Podcast #54: ReLAXin' w/ PCarc Host Paul Carcaterra Talks Lacrosse & More w/ Ted

Host of ReLAXin' with Pcarc host, ESPN broadcaster, former Syracuse All-American, National Champion, and all around good guy Paul Carcaterra was kind enough to grant me an interview this week. We'll talk about some college lacrosse, Syracuse, the legendary #22, his broadcast partners, Anish and Quint and more. Blog Post & YouTube Video...

Syracuse hosted Denver at SUNY Cortland this past weekend, and we'll talk about it in the first ever Syracuse Lacrosse Podcast #1 and this episode will double as the LaxFactor Lacrosse Podcast #53 as well so that I could work some other random fall ball action into the end. I'm late to the party, but the PLL Championship game was played, and was awesome, seeing the Whipsnakes drop the Redwoods thanks to some Matt Rambo heroics. The Iroquois dropped the US 9-7 in a close game, and Canada merked England in their semi 21-4. Go to to support the channel, buy some swag and watch more videos... View...

Lax Rants #1: Lax Rant #1: Parents Need To Stop Being #$% Holes

If you watch the news, it is now official. Parents of kids participating in youth sports have lost their damn minds. They are beating up umpires, yelling at coaches, fighting each other in the stands. It’s absolute anarchy. It has even spilled over into our usually more peaceful northern neighbors in Canada with a box lacrosse player waiting outside for an official and then proceeded to beat his ass. All bad, we can’t have it, and we as parents and fans need to work to stomp this out before...

NCAA Lacrosse Dive Rule Under Review (LaxFactor Lacrosse Podcast #45)

The dive rule was a disaster in college lacrosse this season even though it also provided a lot of excitement. The NCAA Lacrosse Rules Committee will be reviewing the dive rule, how it's written, and how it's called this off-season and it will be interesting to see if they make any changes. I'm a big fan of the dive rule and I'd never want to see it go away, but they have to either simplify it, or make it far more clear so that it's an easier call for officials. NCAA Face-Off Rules Under Review Again (LaxFactor Lacrosse Podcast #44)

The NCAA lacrosse face-off rules will be discussed as part of the annual NCAA Lacrosse Rules Committee meeting. The goal will be to see if there are ways they can decrease the effect that fogo's have on a games outcome. I personally think the current rules are incredible and have already gotten rid of the "cheating" as much as possible at the face-off X. So I'm not for changing more rules, but as part of these meetings, they at least have to discuss them. Support the channel...BUY A...

Lax Factor Lacrosse Podcast #43: Virginia Lacrosse 2020 Returning Players

Virginia Lacrosse returns a ton of talent for 2020, so today, we talk about the defending National Champions, the Virginia Cavaliers and we’ll discuss their RETURNING players on the 43rd LaxFactor Lacrosse Podcast. Not their new recruits. Not every player, but KEY RETURNERS that I think will make an impact in 2020. UVA returns the best attack group in the country in Michael Kraus, Matt Moore and Ian Laviano. Dox Aitken, one of the best midfielders in the country will look to anchor the...

LaxFactor Lacrosse Podcast #42: Syracuse Lacrosse 2020 Returning Players

Syracuse Lacrosse returns a ton of talent in 2020 in addition to the addition of transfer Chase Scanlon. Guys like Jamie Trimboli, Brendan Curry, Tucker Dordevic, David Lipka, Jacob Buttermore, Stephen Rehfuss, Griffin Cook and more give Syracuse lacrosse fans a lot to look forward to in 2020. Is it enough to get them back to the NCAA College Lacrosse Final Four in 2020? That is to be seen. Drake Porter, Nick Mellen and Brett Kennedy will need to step up to fill some of the holes on the...

LaxFactor Lacrosse Podcast #39: Chase Scanlon Transferring To Syracuse & Will Wear The #22

It's official, Chase Scanlon, the incredible freshman midfielder from Loyola will transfer to Syracuse and will rock the #22. Scanlon is likely going to play attack for the Orange. He'll be the most proven #22 Syracuse has had since Mike Powell as his 43 goals and 15 assists at Loyola last season solidified his spot as one of the top three freshman lacrosse players in the country. Scanlon was also an All-American which would make him the first 4-time All-American since Mike Powell to wear...

LaxFactor Lacrosse Podcast #35: Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) Action Kicked Off This Weekend

The Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) kicked off this weekend and I think most were pleasently surprised with what we saw on the field. The PLL promised a more "player-centric" product and I think they delivered on that promise. In the three games, we saw the first two go into OT with the Archers LC defeating the Chrome LC 13-12 in Overtime off a Will Manny goal and the Whipsnakes LC beating the Chaos LC 15-14 in OT off a Drew Snider step down goal. The Redwoods LC beat Atlas LC 11-9 in Sundays...
