Ireland recorded 29-10 win over Italy in their first World Cup warm-up game at the Aviva stadium on Saturday. Schmidt's side came out of the game with knocks to Rob Herring and Devon Toner but it was Joey Carbery that caused the most concern. The Munster no10 was stretchered off with half an hour to play after hurting his ankle in a pile up. Schmidt shared some insight into the injury and whether he expects him to return for the World Cup.
