He also claims he knows of other survivor communities similar to Alexandria. Rick's group leaves with Jesus to make contact with his community. However, they come upon a recently crashed vehicle and decide to investigate when Jesus tells them it belongs to his people. They rescue Jesus' people, and proceed to his community, Hilltop, built around an old plantation called Barrington House. Jesus introduces them to Hilltop's leader, Gregory. However, Gregory proves to be difficult to negotiate with, as he feels that Alexandria doesn't have anything to offer. One of Hilltop's scavenging groups return, saying that they have been ambushed by Negan, and attempt to assassinate Gregory, forcing Rick to kill their leader. Jesus explains that Negan and the Saviors have been extorting Hilltop ever since the walls were built. Maggie makes a deal with Gregory, in which Hilltop will give half its supplies to Rick in return for eliminating Negan. Rick's group then returns to Alexandria, but not before Maggie and Glenn view their child via ultrasound."
