The man convicted of killing her asked a friend to help him dispose of a "hog" he had butchered, according to court testimony, and the friend testified they dumped the dismembered parts of Angie Pipkin's body into the Great Pee Dee River.

Brittanee Drexel told her parents she was staying with a friend near their home in Rochester, when instead she hitched a ride with friends to Myrtle Beach. The 17-year-old girl was last seen on surveillance video leaving an Ocean Drive hotel lobby on April 25, 2009. The subsequent years have brought much investigation, but not a single arrest, and no sign of Brittanee.
