Will and Eric discuss the most recent Far Cry game, set in rural Montana where you have to dismantle a dangerous paramilitary cult. During "What We Played" Dan and Will give brief first impressions of Ni No Kuni 2.
Dan and Will list a few games they want to see ported to the Switch, and most of them aren't Wii U games. (Though there is one) Dan talks about his solo experiences in Sea of Thieves and Will is back playing Heroes of the Storm.
Dan played the newest game from the creators of FTL, Into the Breach....a mech tactics game with some similar elements to it's predecessor. Dan and Will also cover the announcements made in the latest Nintendo Direct and give some first impressions of Final Fantasy 15 Windows Edition.
You're in luck, because we have an in-house Dynasty Warriors "expert." What does Will think of Dynasty Warriors 9? It's the series' first foray into open world style games, and thus initially plagued by performance issues. Will addresses some of them, but also covers what the game is past all the issues.
The Thumbstick Athletes welcome in not one, but two guests this week to talk about Fortnite's insanely popular Battle Royale mode. Eric leads the segment along with Fortnite squadmates Geoff and Showtime. During what we played Will played some of the PC version of the open world Dynasty Warriors 9.
We have a dual episode this week, with Eric and Corey covering indie platformer Celeste during the main segment. After the outro, Dan, Corey and Will do a spoiler filled Hangover for Life is Strange Before the Storm.
For this week we talk about Nintendo's newest strangeness, called Labo. Who could have predicted cardboard gaming peripherals? During What We Played Eric played more Super Mario Odyssey and Corey talks about Opus Magnum.
Last year just wrapped so let's talk about some the games we're excited for in 2018!
