On Daybreak Africa: Uganda’s president on Monday signed into law tough new anti-LGBTQ legislation supported by many in Ugandans but widely condemned by rights activists and others abroad. Just hours later, eleven activists petitioned the constitutional court seeking to block its implementation. Nigeria has a new president.
