Ed recently retired from law enforcement and the other race director is still active. Ed explains why they do this race and what it means to him. One thing a little different about this race is that is you can donate during registration for racer scholarships to allow more LEO, active/retired Military and other first responders to be able to run this race for free. Julie is an adaptive athlete who has completed 50 Half Marathons and has now joined the ranks of OCR because of VA Orlando and their limited partnership with Spartan race. In 2022 Spartan and the Orlando VA brought a group of Vets out to the Central Florida Spartan race, including Julie, and held their first VA Wave. After this Julie was hooked on OCR. She's got her own GRIT Freedom chair now and in 2023 completed more than a trifecta with Oscar Mike and More Heart Than Scars.
