Gilleasbuig MacDonald visits Eleanor MacDougal in her workshop to discuss her artwork. Eleanor, who is a silversmith, living and working in Mull attended the Glasgow School of Art before completing a PhD at Sabhal Mor Ostaig, the first PhD on art in Gaelic. What motivates her and what influences her work? Eleanor outlines her thoughts on the misrepresentations of the Highlands through romanticism and her desire to create art that is removed from the sentimental representation of the Highlands. Eleanor also introduces Gilleasbuig to the basics of metal working.
