She had previously served in the same role at Maine Township, after having been a lead teacher and instructional coach. Kim talks to Adam and Ken about the ins and outs of having coaching conversations with teachers as an administrator, the need for administrative coaching, and the many roles that she has to fill simultaneously!
Ben Collins, principal of Maine South High School, has been working to develop instructional coaching at the administrative level. He draws on the lessons that he has learned from coaches working with teachers, and is implementing his model at the building and district level. Adam and Ken chime in!
