With the Theme of NAIDOC Week being Our languages matter. Professor Jakelin Troy from the University of Sydney says Given the number of revival programs in languages the current stats on Indigenous lanugages used in the home is looking good. Jaky Troy says there are 389 Languages left spoken in Australia and with the figures showing that around half are being spoken in homes, that the statistic is a good representation.
