King David in Psalm 139:21 stated he hated those that hated God. Very strong language. Not peace but a sword

Jesus uttered these controversial words in Matthew 10:34. What did he mean he came not to bring peace? Isaiah refers to Jesus as the Wonderful Counselor and the Prince of Peace. This appears as another contradiction in the Bible, doesn't it? As always the Bible never contradicts itself. Context is the key.

For whom did Christ die?

A most controversial question. One that will spark debate until the coming of our Lord. Did Jesus die for the sins of the world - meaning he died for all the sins of every person that will ever live, or did he die for just the elect? This is the sticking point between Calvinists and Arminians. Another way of asking the question is, "Is Christ atonement limited or unlimited?"
