Ryan Sullivan and Jay DeMerit are joined by former NHL'er Victor Oreskovich to chat about his trip to the Stanley Cup Final with the Vancouver Canucks in 2011. The guys then chatted Shaqeum Griffin, Davide Astori, the Whitecaps first win over Montreal and the fight of the year in the NHL. Ryan and Jay chat with world renowned big mountain skier Ian McIntosh about his life living on the edge. The guys then break down the NHL trade deadline, their 'Jackass of the Week' and the biggest and best games coming up in The Week Ahead.


Episode 21: Luke Willson

Ryan Sullivan and Jay DeMerit are joined by NFL tight end Luke Willson. After spending five years in Seattle, Luke is currently a free agent, so the guys discussed some possible future plans with the Canadian-born kid. Fergie Ferg is then crowned the Jackass of the Week after her weird, sultry and salty rendition of the Star Spangled Banner at the NBA All-Star Game. The guys then cover everything coming up that's worthy of watching in The Week Ahead.


Episode 20: Paul Bissonnette

Former enforcer turned Bachelor expert Paul Bissonnette joins Ryan and Jay to chat about the current state of the Coyotes and gets pelted with some rapid fire. Biz Nasty also chats locker room guys versus non-locker room guys. You'll see. Ryan is also named this week's Jackass of the Week following Chelsea's embarrassing loss to Watford last week. His penance is to sing a few bars of Elton John. What transpired was disturbing.

What a weekend in the world of sports! Super Bowl 52 was off the charts and the Eagles reigned victorious. The real story for us though were the commercials and the Jackass of the Week. We revisit each in this week's Headlines. We then go over the City of Vancouver's Best Sports Jerseys of All Time. Episode Fourteen: Jay DeMerit

To start the new year Ryan and Jay break down the biggest stories in the NFL from the playoff picture to the head coaches to the Jackass of the Week. They also touch on the World Junior Hockey Championships, the NHL, NBA and Premier League. Ryan gives away a bunch of swag to the Green Men's biggest Seal fan, while Jay dishes on some dating advice.

Episode Twelve: Russell Teibert

Russell Teibert answers fan questions on our first Facebook Live episode. He touches on his philanthropy work and using his fame to help better society. However, he also touches on the mens national team, the Whitecaps future and his fashion. Yes, he gets grilled heavily on his fashion! He's a good sport though and joins Ryan and Jay for over an hour while tipping back a glass of Cono Sur in the process.

Kevin Bieksa joins Ryan and Jay to talk about his Vancouver days and how great life is in the hot sun of Anaheim, California. The guys also get random with Boom Boom and talk Snoop, Chargers, Jimmy Kimmel and where he will be in ten years time. The guys of course touch on absolutely every single marquee game in every single marquee sport across the map for The Week Ahead too. The NCAA and NFL are heating up quick and the guys go heavy on the pigskin, with some NHL and NBA peppered in.


Episode Six: Why Vancouver is immune to mediocrity

Whilst also previewing the biggest games across every major sports coming up over the next seven days, The Week Ahead Podcast returns with a little more controversy for its sixth episode.
