S2 Ep1074: Why Is It Hard To Break Bad Habits?

6/30/2025
On The Happy Hour this week, we're chatting about breaking bad habits and behaviours in our lives. Whether it’s giving up smoking, overeating on junk food, or excessive social media scrolling, or something else. These habits can be hard to brush off, yet the almost automatic way in which we reach for them can have negative impact on our mental and physical health. For this month's Off The Mat Chat, yoga teacher Dawn Blezard tells us what yoga sutras say about breaking these habits or addictions and discusses some first steps we can take to change them. You can find out more about Dawn by searching for "Pathway Yoga with Dawn" on Instagram, Facebook or YouTube. Image shows Dawn smiling at the camera. She has blonde hair with darker ends that's done up in two French brairds. She's wearing a blue t-shirt and sitting in front of a bright yellow couch.

S1 Ep124: We Try An Easy Recipe For Roasted Red Pepper Pasta

3/24/2025
We love an easy recipe, today, Paulina returns to the kitchen to try a roasted red pepper pasta sauce. The recipe Paulina is trying out is here but you can find it below with adjustments for Celsius, etc. Ingredients: Method: 1. Set your oven to 200 celcius. 2. Roughly cut or break your peppers and take out the cores. 3. Coat in olive oil. 4. Put in the oven on some baking paper for about 20 minutes. 5. In the meantime, add your cashews, basil, garlic, salt, pepper, and thyme (if using) to your blender. 6. Boil your pasta whilst you wait. 7. Once peppers are done, add them to the blender along with a cup of hot water and blitz until smooth. 8. Check if needs more salt and pepper and serve with your pasta or put the sauce aside in the fridge and reheat in a pot if serving later. Notes: If the sauce is too thick as you blend, add a dash of water. If you don't have a strong blender, you can soak your cashews overnight in water. Image shows the RNIB Connect Radio logo.
