One of the largest controversies in the 90's was the lipsynching scandal of Milli Vanilli. Rob & Fab were hugely successful artists, until it was revealed that they didn't sing on their album. This happened 35 years ago this week! Andrew and Matt from Top Track Podcast are here to discuss the topic I have waited to do forever! Was producer Frank Farian a villain, or a smart businessman? This week marks the 30th anniversary of a giant hip-hop classic - Coolio's "Gangsta's Paradise". The producer and co-writer of the song, Doug Rasheed, takes us back to the development of the track, obtaining Stevie Wonder's blessing to use his song "Pastime Paradise", creating the choir, the cover versions, Weird Al's "Amish Paradise", and more. Doug has made music with 2Pac, Whitney, Montell Jordan, Brandy, etc. and is releasing his autobiography this fall, titled "From Rags to Gangsta's Paradise".
