To discover a lost temple and find "The Precious Jewel," which is rumored to be more valuable than gold or silver. Along the way they discover that, sometimes, treasure doesn't look the way you'd expect. Proverbs 20:15 tells us that “the lips of knowledge are a precious jewel.” That means knowing what is right and sharing wisdom from God is more valuable than anything money can buy. Jesus is the greatest treasure of all, and He gives us wisdom through the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit helps us make good choices, learn from our mistakes, and see what really matters. Greybobby's class learns about bartering by trading their possessions. Bart brings a prized family heirloom- a cuckoo clock wristwatch- to trade, but quickly becomes discouraged when Sheila Slyfox is unimpressed. Greybobby shirks his chores and visits the town's newest restaurant and arcade with his friends. He quickly learns that his laziness has cost him dearly when he is unable to pay for any of the arcade games, and unable to convince his dad to give him an advance on his allowance. Greybobby learns the lesson of Proverbs 20:13: "Love not sleep, lest you come to poverty; open your eyes, and you will have plenty of bread." He also learns that: Being prepared is wise and honors God. Laziness can lead to poverty, but diligence leads to provision. God calls us to be alert and diligent, not just in our work but in our spiritual lives. Christ didn’t live idly but carried out His mission with purpose. When the lunch lady gives Red more change than he is due, he decides to keep it and not give it back. Betty and Joy confront him, insisting that he is stealing from the school. They ask him to remember the lessons that Uncle Greybilly has taught in Sunday school. Red learns the lesson of Proverbs 19:20: "Listen to advice and accept instruction, that you may gain wisdom in the future." From this Proverb he learns: It is important to hold on to the advice we are given. Remembering the wise words spoken to us helps us stay on course in life. They shape and guide our future.
