Simon Guettier is BFBS longest-serving presenter, having joined the station in 1978. He comes from Jersey in the Channel Isles - hence the dodgy surname - and started with BFBS in Cyprus. "My first job was getting tunes (vinyl records in those days) out of the library for the other presenters. I remember hearing them played on air and thinking 'I got that out'!"
