Following a successful junior athletics career, competing for Great Britain and England, Jessie upped sticks and moved from her native Liverpool to London, bagged a media degree and subsequently her first job with BBC London, from there she moved to BBC Sport, presented a kid's show on BBC 7, traffic and travel at Five Live and not forgetting being part of the station's Commonwealth Games Radio team.
