Shimmy, formerly of Total Axxess, launches The Real: Inside The Music Outside the Norm, a weekly showcase that seeks to discover the real person behind the imaging of an artist and their music, going deeper to make a lasting connection with listeners. “I believe The Real will strike a chord with its audience,” says Shimmy. “Sometimes they will laugh. Sometimes they will cry. But always they will discover something about an artist that makes an impression and hopefully sparks them to learn even more about that artist and their music.”. This free program will be provided to participating radio stations in the form of five three-minute segments that can be played as daily vignettes or integrated into your programming as an hour-long weekly show.
