Puerto Rican Dolph “Richie” Rivera had a vast career that included spinning at New York venues such as the Firehouse, the Anvil, the Flamingo, and the Sandpiper, and mixing such classics as “My Baby’s Baby” by Liquid Gold and Van McCoy’s “Lonely Dancer”. The signature on his mixes was “Midnight Mix”. In 1978, he did the music blending and compilation, together with Vince Aletti of a double LP called "Steppin’ Out" released by Polydor. Rivera also had a solid sales background, with management positions at Wiz Distributors and Transworld Music. He passed away March 27, 1994 in New Jersey.
