F&F C2-E115 - You Don't Drink the Cologne
11/17/2025
Picking up where we last left off, the Tempests are heading Westward to try and return to the continent of Drago where Pez's friend Hambjerger has been supposedly reincarnated, and also the end goal of Lakin's task given to him by Ceto. But the journey so far has been laden with obstacles. First a blue dragon attacked their airship, and now the port of Ariminum is under lockdown due to said dragon attack. The city was still a bit twitchy after the last blue dragon sighting, and they were none-too-eager to further anger the sea goddess. With nothing else to do until nightfall where Lakin could speak with Ceto himself, the Tempests found themselves an Inn and explored the Romanan capitol for the day. Somewhere, somehow, along the way, Kasumi stumbled upon the local Thieves Guild hidden within an apothecary wherein they met the **Velvet Dagger**, the leader of the Golden Hand Thieves Guild. The Velvet Hand was quite irate with the situation as it was hindering business. However, being such a fresh development, there was little that any of them could do. As night fell, Lakin communed with Ceto to see if the goddess was actually upset with the city.. She was not! And she informed Lakin that the High Priest that had locked down the city using her name, was not one of her priests. We rejoin them now as Lakin emerges from the ocean with a new target in his sights and then chucks Zaan into the ocean.

F&F C2-E114 - Codename: Tempests Next Door
10/31/2025
The last time math rocks fell, the Tempests finally departed from the country of Takatari to continue their round-about tour the world. The next stop on their journey was the port city of Ariminum in the country of Romana where they could purchase passage across the Alboran Sea. Before they could make it to the Romanan capitol, their chartered airship was attacked by an adult blue dragon. The blue beast seemed intent on bringing down the vessel, but was thwarted by the relentless attacks from the Tempests. Though the dragon was defeated, it wasn't without cost; not only physical, but mental as well. Pez was rather shaken up by the encounter, wishing for nothing more than to plant his feet firmly on the ground again. Kasumi also had a brief scuffle with gravity, but managed to save herself from plummeting to a rocky death. And Lakin gave an in depth review of dragons and their kind! The airship limped into port and settled in a drydock for repairs. Unable to unload Cassie for fear of toppling the ship, the captain urged the Tempests to rest and enjoy the city for the day while repairs were made and everything was unloaded. We rejoin the Tempests now as the city of Ariminum lies before them and the Alboran Sea, and their next destination, is at their backs.

F&F C2-E113 - Wanna Talk About Dragons?
10/17/2025
Picking up where we last left off, Kasumi and Moriko connected with family both new and old. Moriko reunited with the parents she thought had been lost at sea so many years ago and discovered that she had siblings! Kasumi rescued her adoptive father Barnabus from an Arch Fae, and met another Kitsune who claimed to be her older sister, sent with another sibling to the material plane to rescue Kossori, otherwise known as Kasumi. Both stuck to their convictions and promises to help the party, and with varying degrees of emotion left once more with the Tempests to continue their journey, vowing to return safe and sound once their goals were completed and the world was safe again. Following Rakki's advice, the Tempests headed to the Skytower in the Boka district of Chunsu to charter an airship to Ariminum, a heavily traveled port city in the country of Romana. We rejoin them now in the skies above the Ayeran continent as they attempt to reach the other side of the world once more.

F&F C2-E112 - I'm Going to Hug You Now
10/3/2025
Last time on the Tales of Archeron, the Tempests successfully rescued Barnabus Che, Kasumi's adoptive father, from the clutches of a high ranking Fey creature known as The Lady of the Pass. But it would seem that Kasumi's search for family was not quite done as the fey possessed an item that came to be known as 'The Spiritual Tear'. A tear drop shaped gem stone that seemed to call out to Kasumi with a sense of longing and sadness. Confused by what it meant, Kasumi meditated on the item, attuning to it, and received a vision that further confused the poor woman. Moriko spoke with her own deity to see what she could ascertain about the situation, and was given a little more direction that Kasumi had found her 'new family', but had yet to reunite with her old one. After puzzling over the cryptic messages, the Tempests decided to head back into Chunsu to tie off these loose ends before continuing on their journey to help Lakin and Pez enter the Orc Lands. Barnabus was sad to see his daughter leave so soon, but seemed to be understanding that children must always leave the nest eventually and live their own lives. Assuring Kasumi he would be there when her journey was done, he sent them on their way. We rejoin the Tempests now as they approach the outer part of Takatari's capitol city, Chunsu.

F&F C2-E111 - Wizards Are Like Clams
9/19/2025
Picking up where we last left off, the Tempests had ventured into the sequoia forest behind Kasumi's homestead in the Tusoto Pass in search of her adoptive father, Barnabus. Buried deep within the giant trees, they came upon a palace shrouded in mist. The palace was called "The Mirrored Court" and seemed to be fey in nature. The Tempests got a little lost inside the palace, every doorway seeming to take them to random places until they figured out the trick behind it. Partially with the help of Elarion, a being trapped within a phylactery and forced to watch over the Fey's library. With Elarion's "totally not helpful advice", the Tempests finally cornered the Lady of the Pass and took her down with relative ease. (And a couple of nat20's helped speed things along of course). The palace began to fade, urging the Tempests to beat a hasty retreat. Everyone that had previously been under the fey's influence were now free and hurriedly scrambling to grab what they could and escape. Because who knew what would happen if they remained when it disappeared completely? Exiting the Palace, they ran into Ganshiro again, and standing beside him was Barnabus, confused, but unharmed, and tickled pink to see his 'daughter' again. Walking as fast as Barnabus would allow, the group exited the forest, only to find that their wagon home was missing, though they had no idea for how long. We rejoin them now as Barnabus tidies up his home and prepares tea, while the others discuss how to get their home back.

F&F C2-E110 - Was it that obvious?
9/5/2025
Last we left off, the Tempests were heading towards the Tusoto Pass so that Kasumi could reunite with her parental figure, Barnabas Che. This was after receiving a vision from her deity that gave her a choice between heading to her home, or investigating a fox motif door in Chunsu; both would supposedly lead to family. Arriving at the Tusoto Pass, they found the homestead empty for what seemed to be at least a few weeks if not a few months. Following the trail, the Tempests came upon a palace nestled deep in the woods to the South of Kasumi's home, a place called The Mirrored Court. The party was greeted by a half-orc butler named Ganshiro who led them directly to the Lady of the Pass. Standing beside the lady was Barnabas himself who seemed to have no recognition in his eyes upon seeing Kasumi. The Lady proceeded to trick Zaan out of owning his own name, leading the group to discover that the Lady was not all that she seemed. Assumed to be fey at the least, arch fey at the worst, Lakin attempted to attack the Lady, shattering the illusion that she was in the room with them. The Tempests were now lost in a maze of rooms with doors that seem to move them around randomly throughout the Palace. There was a brief moment where the party was split and Lakin bull-charged his way through until the party finally regrouped. We rejoin them now as they gather their wits and decide what to do next.

F&F C2-E109 - Bacon Doesn't LIE!
8/8/2025
Last we left off, the Tempests had successfully cleansed the blight burrowing below the ground in Takatari. After slaying the massive plague worm, the Tempests returned to the surface and took a few days to recover in Calm Water Piers while Moriko got to know her family a better. Kasumi was graced with a vision from Shenshe that gave her and her companions two choices going forward. Return to Chunsu in the East and investigate a mysterious, fox emblazoned door, or head West towards her home at Tusoto Pass where something odd was happening in the forest. Choosing to head towards her home first, the Tempests went West and had a rather uneventful journey aside from encountering a babbling Kobold on the road who was completely ignored. Eventually, they arrived at the Tusoto Pass.. only to find that it was currently uninhabited. The area seemed to have been abandoned some time ago, with a fine layer of dust having settled on every surface, though nothing seemed disturbed or taken. As if the inhabitants had simply left. Following a few other scattered clues, the Tempests followed a slew of tracks that led into the forest behind the homestead. A thick, low hanging fog overtook them, making it difficult to see properly. That is until the fog curled away, revealing a stone pathway, hedgerows, and a wall in the distance with a palace of some sort beyond it. We rejoin them now as they stand in at the end of the pathway to the grounds within the sequoia forest.

F&F C2-E108 - Just 5 "Normal" Individuals
7/25/2025
Last we left off, the Tempests had done a good deed! Supposedly one good enough to wipe their ledger clean with the Takatari Dynasty. Delving deep into the earth, the party hunted down and killed a massive worm-like creature that was spreading pestilence, disease, rot, and a multitude of other nastiness-es-es across the realm. Though they did not come out unscathed, they were victorious and returned to the surface once more. They were then greeted by a contingent of Redguard soldiers being led by Taiko Yama who had been sent by the Shogun to deal with the threat below, only to find that the mostly foreign 'prisoners' had done all the dirty work while their handler, Tanaka, was clean as a whistle, having not lifted a single finger to help his own country. Yama freed the Tempests of their shackles under the authority of the Shogun and sent them on their way. The party wasted no time in heading back to Calm Water Piers to check on the villagers and more importantly, the Ito's. With both Ito parents awake and aware, well on the mend due to the cure the Tempests helped bring to the village, it came to light that Moriko was in fact, their long lost daughter. The spitting image of Ayami, minus the bubblegum pink, the family had their long needed reunion after being separated for almost 80 years. The Tempests took a few days to recover and allow Moriko to spend time with her family. Meanwhile, Kasumi was given a peculiar dream from Shenshe, revealing troubling news and a pair of visions that could influence the party's next steps.

F&F C2-E107 - Reunions and Revelations
7/11/2025
Picking up where we last left off, the Tempests were deep underground below Takatari to deal with a literal blight upon the land. A massive wormlike creature had been burrowing through the land, spreading its pestilence and disease to every corner of the Empire. Having rescued some hapless villagers, the Tempests bravely went back into the depths to rid the world of this creature and its spawn once and for all. First on their list, was to destroy the creature's nests; a task that proved to be a bit more difficult than they originally thought. A peculiar item was recovered from within the skull of one of the creatures that had been growing in the nest, and it seemed to point the party in the correct direction: a Duergar city located within an expansive cavern. Making their way deeper into the city, the party was ambushed, but managed to fight off the creatures, only to have their progenitor erupt from the ground and begin searching for the Tempests. The party found a cellar that they could recuperate in and plan their next moves. Coming up with a plan, the Tempests lured the gargantuan beast into the open and eventually slayed it. But the Scourge wouldn't go down quietly. As the final blow was struck by Zaan's blade, the beast exploded, leveling many of the surrounding buildings and splashing nearly everything with it's ichor. There was no time to sit and take stock as the city itself began to collapse upon the death of the Scourge. The very substance covering everything in sight began to wilt away, what was once holding up the crumbled buildings now sloughing off. After a mad dash out of the city, the Tempests made it across the bridge leading back into the underground tunnel network.

F&F C2-E106 - Methed Out Kobolds
6/27/2025
Last we left off, the Tempests headed deep underground to remove what they assumed was the source of the blight afflicting the Takatari Empire: a colossal worm-like creature that had been digging its way into every corner of the continent. They had already succeeded in eliminating one of its nests where twisted beings were incubating. Snuffing the life from these creatures, the Tempests went to rest in a nearby ruined outpost where they had a horde of undead Duergar sent after them. Successfully repelling the attack, the party investigated the second nest and found it barren save for one malformed corpse. Within the corpse's skull was a crystallized bit of brain matter that seemed capable of tracking these creatures, and Zaan, further cementing the reality that the rabbit man was related to these creatures in some way. Moriko took the crystal and used it to help them navigate towards more of the creatures, which eventually led them to the underground Duergar city. Moving through the corrupted, flesh covered streets, the party was ambushed by more fully formed aberrations of the sort they'd killed within the nest. With a few close calls, the creatures were dealt with, only to have their progenitor finally emerge from within the earth. The colossal beast is now on the hunt, knowing that the Tempests were there somewhere.

F&F C2-E105 - Welp... Sh!t..
6/13/2025
Picking up where we last left off, the Tempests had delved deep into the earth to rescue some survivors of a sinkhole collapse. While they were down there, they learned of a Duergar city that had supposedly been destroyed by a large underground worm-like creature. This same creature, the survivors claimed, was likely the source of the blight on the surface. The survivors also informed the Tempests of a pair of nests nearby that should be destroyed post haste. Agreeing with that the nests needed to be purged, the Tempests returned underground after escorting the survivors back to civilization to handle business. The first nest was destroyed after a prolonged battle of a whopping 20seconds that felt like 3 hours. The Tempests chose to return to the ruined outpost to rest and heal their wounds, only to be woken up in the middle of the night at the urging of Moriko and Lakin, who spotted an unknown creature standing at the edge of the cavern. The creature supposedly sent a large wave of Duergar undead to attack them. With a little bit of fire and a whole lot of exploding bones, the horde was dealt with and the Tempests were allowed to rest. Upon investigating the second nest in the morning, they found it to be empty, or rather, dead. The flesh-like substance grey and flaking off the walls. One corpse remained, and a crystalized bit of brain matter was found within. After a short time of studying it, they discovered that it seemed to be able to locate the creatures they'd fought in the nest... and Zaan... We rejoin the tempests now as Moriko leads the party to a bridge that leads into the large underground Duergar city... The name of which has not been learned yet.

F&F C2-E104 - FUEGO!
5/30/2025
Last we left off, the Tempests had gone back down into the deep dark down deep down to try their hand at a little exterminatus. Having rescued some villagers who'd fallen into a massive sink hole, they learned that some bad shit was going down beneath the surface of Takatari. A large 'something' was moving around, leaving death and decay in its wake as it bored out massive tunnels of rock. This thing had supposedly laid waste to an entire underground city of Duergar and had established two separate nests where its foul spawn were being cooked. The Tempests thought that that just wouldn't do and bravely strode into the humid, flesh covered nest to start popping cocoons and killing bebes. It was a hard fought battle, but eventually the nest was cleared and the Tempests returned to the nearby ruins of an outpost to rest for the evening and decide what to do about the second nest when clearer minds and healthier bodies were able to formulate a plan. We rejoin them now as Kasumi finishes helping Lakin reattach his hand and the first watch of the night is taken.

F&F C2-E103 - It Felt Like 3 Hours
5/16/2025
Last time of the Tales of Archeron, the Tempests had delved deep underground to rescue some locals who had fallen into a sinkhole at the harbor's edge. Speaking with the survivors, they learned that something massive was moving through the underground and was likely the cause of the blight afflicting the surface. They also learned of a pair of nests nearby that they had barricaded to keep themselves safe. Resolving to rescue the people first and then return to handle the nests, Moriko turned into a giant spider taxi and got everyone to safety. Kasumi then stubbornly insisted on tracking down Tanaka and informing their Parole Officer of their whereabouts, much to the irritation of Lakin who deemed it more prudent to handle the threat sooner rather than later. Reaching an impasse, the party split when tempers rose: Lakin and Zaan heading for the sinkhole back below, and Kasumi searching for Tanaka with Pez and Moriko. The Tempests eventually got back together and delved back underground to take care of the nests. We rejoin them now as they creep further into the humid, musty nest, and blasted open a large pustule that deposited a creature of some kind.

F&F C2-E102 - The Stubborn Party Splits
5/2/2025
Last we left off on the Tales of Archeron, the Tempests launched a rescue mission to save some locals that had been consumed by a massive sinkhole. Going deep into the earth beneath the Kudong Harbor, they traversed through winding tunnels that looped back on themselves, fought off vicious creatures that lurked in pitch black waterways, and eventually found nearly twenty survivors from the surface; One of them being Haru, the older brother of Tamami, an elf girl whom the Tempests had befriended earlier. Learning as much as they could from what the survivors had experienced, there was a massive worm-like beast digging these tunnels with its offspring able to dissolve flesh and armor. After a bit of back-and-forth, the Tempests decided that rescuing the survivors came before the murder. Moriko wild shaped into a large spider that was able to crawl up and out through one of the many sinkholes to reach the surface. Acting like a creepy, hairy taxi to get everyone out.

F&F C2-E101 - I'm Not Dead Yet... Sorta
4/18/2025
Last we left off, the Tempests had delved deep into the ground beneath the Kudong Harbor in Takatari in search of lost locals who had been consumed by a massive sink hole. One of these missing locals is Haru, the older brother of Tamami, a young elven girl they befriended. Through completely submerged tunnels, winding pathways, and large insectoid creatures that lurk in the dark, the Tempests searched for more survivors but have found only death so far. The party got a little turned around trying to navigate the twisting tunnels and ended up where they began. Kasumi started leaving marks to keep them from doubling back on themselves again and soon, they discovered a pathway laid with cobble stones.. Something clearly made by intelligent hands... After coming across what appeared to be a mushroom farm, the party decided to take a short rest to recoup and treat their wounds. Lakin took the opportunity to explore a bit further and came across an outpost of some kind.. The faintest flickering light can be seen on the other side of the small tower.

F&F C2-E100 - Still Water
4/4/2025
Picking up where we left off last time, the Tempests were helping to cure a rampant sickness that had befallen upon a coastal town along the Kudong Harbor in Takatari. Upon arriving, they encountered a small elven child named Tamami who bore a striking resemblance to Moriko. Tamami's parents were bedridden with the plague sweeping the area and not in proper states of mind to answer the probing questions from the Tempests. Tamami's older brother Haru had gone out to fish and not returned. Fearing the worst, Moriko consulted her ancestral deity Aerin who warned of an approaching disaster. A massive sinkhole opened up below a neighboring village, swallowing multiple homes, ships, and several hapless residents. Diving down, the Tempests rescued as many as they were able, though many were still missing. Assuming the worst for Haru, the Tempests returned to the sink hole to go as far in as they could in search of the missing elf and found themselves navigating an expansive system of tunnels carved into the rock. Using Pez's superb ranger senses, he guided them to the sound of flowing water and came across a pair of corpses next to an underground stream. The corpse warned of beasts in the dark that had attacked them. Zaan immediately cast light on a rock and chucked it into the water, inevitably triggering a short skirmish with some insectoid creatures that lurked in the dark waterway.

F&F C2-E99 - Is This Desert?
3/7/2025
Last we left off, the Tempests were nearing the end of their quest to deliver healing moss to a blighted town along the coast of Kudong Harbor in Takatari. Along the way they picked up a new ally, Lakin, who had promised to aid in their journey if they would return the favor in the near future. As they help distribute the healing brew made from the Yutsushige moss, they encountered a family of elves with a child that bore a striking resemblance to one of their own, the orphaned Moriko. With many questions being asked, and receiving only partial answers from the sick and somewhat delirious father of the household, the Tempests busied themselves with distributing the cure to the rest of the village. The son of the Ito's, Haru, had supposedly gone out to fish earlier that morning and as dusk settled in, he had not yet returned. Tamami, the young daughter, said that this was not terribly unusual, as her brother sometimes took a rest out on the water and would drift to nearby towns along the currents. Moriko however was a bit ill at ease and made the tough choice to meditate towards her ancestral deity, Aerin. The elven god spoke clearly to Moriko and warned of impending danger, though remained somewhat cryptic as to who or why. Fearing the worst, Moriko convinced the others with minimal effort to help her try and find Haru, the only one currently unaccounted for. The tempests then broke the cardinal rule and split the party, eventually leaving Kasumi alone to have a lovely cup of tea with Tamami, while the rest of the Tempests battled fires and dove headlong into a gaping sink hole that had swallowed part of the neighboring coastline to rescue survivors.

F&F C2-E98 - Moistbold
2/21/2025
Last time of the Tales of Archeron, the Tempests had successfully retrieved some moss that supposedly had incredible restorative and healing properties from the Yutsushige Forest after proving their worth to a trio of treants. Their next step was to bring the moss to a village along the coast of Kudong Harbor where an entire stretch was plagued by a savage illness. When they found their way to the Calm Water Piers, Lakin confronted a small child that had been shadowing them through some side alley ways. A young elven girl by the name of Ito Tamami. Somehow the large Orc Warlock convinced the girl that he was no threat and offered to guide her home. Lakin sent up a signal in the form of a magic icicle and shortly after, Moriko arrived to help in what she thought was a fight, only to find Lakin with a child... in a dark alleyway.. Nothing suspicious here. Tamami was sent on her way with Lakin and Moriko returning to the cart, though unknowingly without Fluff, Moriko's companion MothKat. - With the help of Kasumi, Moriko found Fluff sleeping in the home of the elven girl, unharmed and perfectly content. Yoinking Fluff back to her side, they returned to the wagon and the next morning sought out the local Temple to Shenshe were the priestess began working with the moss to create a cure. Returning to Tamami's home, the Tempests offered her parents the first batch of the cure that would hopefully aid in their recovery and perhaps cleanse the whole village.

F&F C2-E97 - A Curious Encounter
2/7/2025
Picking up where we last left off, the Tempests ventured deep into Yutsushige forest in search of a cure-all moss that supposedly grew on the roots of a "Weeping Sequoia". Along the way, the party discovered that they were going in circles despite Moriko's ability to know which way wasn't North and decided to take a rest before trying again. Some time during the last watch, the group was separated by a trio of Treants who wished to test them and see if they were worthy of being allowed so deep within their territory. Passing with flying colors, the Tempests were permitted entry into the Treant's Grove, their most sacred area. Lakin took charge and waded across the small lake to retrieve the moss they had come for while the others spoke with Ironroot, the leader of the Treants, to see what they were doing about the blight ravaging the country. Ironroot revealed that the blight had not yet encroached very far into their territory and was therefore, none of their concern. - Once the moss was collected, the Tempests were escorted from the forest with a few gifts given to them by the Treants and were given permission to visit whenever they pleased. Once again, the Tempests hit the road and then realized that they had no idea WHERE or WHO they needed to deliver the moss to (and Tanaka was of no help either). Choosing to head towards the far Western part of the Kudong Harbor, Dragon's Shore, they worked their way East until they found where they needed to be: Calm Water Piers. Reaching the border between the two regions, they encountered a "dead zone" where the Redguard had evacuated a wide stretch of the village to keep the disease from spreading.

F&F C2-E96 - Tests of Conviction and Promises of Change
1/24/2025
Picking up where we last left off, the Tempests ventured deep into Yutsushige forest in search of a cure-all moss that supposedly grew on the roots of a "Weeping Sequoia". After a short skirmish with a group of Trolls, the party proceeded with a little more caution. Soon, the light in the forest dimmed, the canopy blocking the sunlight until it was almost complete darkness between the trunks of the trees. Thankfully, Moriko has a firm grasp on directions and kept them on track. Or so they thought. Passing by a series of carvings in the trunks of the Sequoias, they passed by similar reliefs, leading them to believe they were going in circles despite Moriko's supreme sense of direction. Beginning to hear and see things deep in the forest, the Tempests decided to rest for the evening and start strong the next dawn. At the end of the final watch, Lakin and Pez realized the Kasumi and Moriko were nowhere to be seen. When trying to locate Zaan, they saw him being carried away by a large hand. Before the two could do anything, they were surrounded by a thick wall of thorns.
