DJ Starlite, AKA Callie Micthell, started her musical journey when she was 16, when she stole a mix tape from a friend. It was at this moment that Callie Mitchell knew she wanted to be part of 'The Scene'. Spending weekends hanging with dj's learning her craft :)She first became interested in the electronic music scene in the early 90's. At age 14 she got her first set of turntables and collected a massive amount of vinyl's. At the age of 17, she was already being touted as one New York 's top female dj's along side co dj DJ Storm. She did various sets in clubs hosting major names such as DJ Storm, Marco V, Alexander Frank and her co dj at Flying Tigers Bill Hess who was her mentor and dear friend, and many many more. It was after this point she started getting gigs at such clubs as Club 2001, Blind Melons, Mickey Rats, Flying Tigers, New York Waterfront Music Fest, and Factory X.
