Metropolis this week features new releases from the Parisian record label Kitsune, fresh sounds from our Dutch pals Kraak & Smaak, and acclaimed veteran producer Dennis Ferrer sends us a feel good House anthem. Get ready for a bootyquake!

This week the Metropolis mix features a new Moon Boots remix, the latest from Disclosure, Willaris K. remixed by Boys Noize, Caravan Palace, Tokimonsta, Faithless, and more!

Perry Farrell, UNKLE, Moby, Avalanches, Frankie Knuckles, and Rhye are just a few of the featured guests in the Metropolis this week!

Metropolis takes off this week with a couple of slinky Disco groovers, flashes of Motown with Marvin Gaye and Diana Ross samples to follow, giving way to a brilliant new Rhye remix, and pivoting to the dark intensity of Willaris K. and Daniel Avery before reaching cruising altitude with a new Tokimonsta remix and a clever remake of Santana’s “Oye Como Va.” Finally touching down with the epic new CamelPhat track featuring a vocal by Yannis of the band Foals. Your journey awaits!

Plenty of audio fireworks in Metropolis on an otherwise subdued July 4th weekend in quarantine, as Jason Bentley features a timely remix of The Doors “Peace Frog,” new Polo & Pan, Amtrac remixed by Durante, new Breakbot, and classics from Nina Simone and Depeche Mode.

This week in Metropolis, selector extraordinaire Jason Bentley plays new Cut Copy, Cassian, Jayda G, Perry Farrell remixed by Maceo Plex, The Brothers Macklovich (A-Trak and Dave from Chromeo) get a remix from Morgan Geist, plus Kraak and Smaak take on Jean Tonique’s new single. Add to that a few classics in the 2nd hour from Underworld, New Oder, The Chemical Bothers, and the Future Sound of London.

Fresh finds from Brooklyn Producer Moon Boots, French artist Myd, electronic dub pioneer The Orb, and some Disco glitter from Yukek all make the Metropolis mix this week live from Jason Bentley’s Music Room.

Satin Jackets remix Dutch dance masters Kraak and Smaak, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs turn in an instant party-starter with their remix of Jessie Ware, and Paul Rudder’s smoldering new tune “Flowers At My Balcony” on Glasgow Underground is a must. Hailing from Montreal, Jacques Greene is a luminary in the world of house music. We’ve always appreciated his ever-changing approach to producing, which places him at the forefront of artists shaping electronica.

Rising Australian artist Willaris. K (aka Jack McAllister) was an electrician working at a power plant by day, but by night, indulged his passion for electronic music, DJing in Brisbane whilst working on writing music.

Finnish DJ and producer Otto Yliperttula, better known as Yotto, has taken the electronic scene by storm these past few years. Around his eclectic productions, performances, and an aptly named record label, Odd One Out, he's continued to evolve his individual style with irreverence and humor, built on a deep appreciation for dance music.

When Australian dance trio Rüfüs Du Sol burst onto the electronic scene in 2013 with their debut album Atlas, it peaked at #1 in the land down under. Flash forward to 2019, and the electronic trio — made up of Australia natives Tyrone Lindqvist, Jon George and James Hunt — have played to massive crowds on world tours with several outstanding albums featuring their emotive and sultry musical style.
