The number 1 goal is to rock out. Sometimes it’s okay not to rock out, but the music still has to be mind blowing. This show is about playing music from the early 20th century through now, and treating all of it like its in one genre: great music that I believe is vital for anyone who appreciates music. It sounds like I’m preaching and promoting my canon of music. I am to an extent and so here’s how I fix that. Each show, I will have a guest dj with me. I will ask each guest to share with me and the listeners what music speaks to them: music that they believe is vital. Each show will naturally find a theme. We share music, we learn something new, we get inspired, and we have a cohesive show.
