Drawing on his vast knowledge of the period and his impressive collection of vintage vinyl recordings, series host Charlie McIntosh presents a weekly showcase of music from the classic Swing Era. In addition to the great music, each program contains a "time capsule" version of major events that occurred at the time the original records were being cut. Beginning in the year 1930, Charlie tracks the evolution of swing through the post World War II years when be-bop dethroned it as the dominant form of popular jazz and dance music.
