Synthetic Marmalade

Literature

Poems, Song Lyrics and Magic Spells written by Mike Luoma over the past 20 years. Luoma's poems and lyrics range from idylls on Vermont ("The Monkton Road") to songs the Boss might like ("Cars & Girls #342")to spell-like ritual poetry ("Ceremonies of Light and Dark"), and all points in between. The poems and spells are recited, the lyrics are sung accompanied by a guitar, recorded straight to two-track with some overdubs. The content is presented in a different order from the print book so that songs and poems could be mixed together. Special guest Sean Kelly of the Samples helped record "Sonny's Got A Gun" and plays on the track.

Thank You For Listening

Mike Luoma here. Thanks for listening to "Synthetic Marmalade". If you liked it and want to hear more from me, give a listen to my Vatican Assassin trilogy. The title character, Bernard Campion - BC - does dirty work for the pope of the New catholic Church in 2109. He's on the Moon to assassinate the governor of Lunar Prime - an act with cosmic repercussions! Start with the novel "Vatican Assassin". After the trilogy comes The Adventures of Alibi Jones! 20 years after the trilogy's end, follow the exploits of BC's son Alibi Jones, a mediator for the Solar Alliance helping negotiate humankind's expansion out into the stars, in novels "Alibi Jones" and "Alibi Jones and the Sunrise of Hur" and the collections "Six Short Stories" and "Alibi Jones and The Time War of The Devrizium". My books are all available as free, downloadble podcasts through Podiobooks.com. More info at GlowintheDarkRadio.com.
