All of us like to hold on to things, whether given to us or bought... It might be a present from a special friend or maybe a record collection you never want to chuck in the bin... But have you ever considered yourself to be a hoarder? As many as 1.2 million people in the UK are meant to suffer from this and just this month it has been recognised as a mental illness. Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie has undergone a double mastectomy to reduce her chances of getting breast cancer. The 37-year-old mother of six explained her reasons for having the surgery saying doctors estimated that she had an 87% risk of breast cancer and a 50% risk of ovarian cancer. She said she decided to be proactive and to minimise the risk as much she could. Just how common is this sort of surgery?

Winston Churchill described it as the "worst journey in the world".
