On this episode, Jason G and I review 'Ballerina', a spinoff set in the 'John Wick' universe between chapters three and four. We praise the film’s action, calling it some of the best in the series, with standout scenes, such as a flamethrower sequence. I mention struggling to fully buy Ana de Armas as an action star, while Jason suggests the director’s style may emphasize looks over grit. We also note the inclusion of Lance Reddick’s character, filmed before his passing, and appreciate how the action feels intense but more grounded compared to other over-the-top set pieces in this universe. We give the movie an overall rating of 7 to 7.8 out of 10. The conversation concludes with thoughts on the box office and franchise. Despite a \$90 million budget, the film made about \$132 million worldwide, which may not cover total costs. However, it is performing well on VOD platforms. On this episode(These are clickable links with articles and mostly video) Happy February, I hope the new year is going well for you. I've been home from work since the beginning of December. I fractured a small bone in my left foot, so I'm recuperating. I hope to return to work and my social life this February. This has given me more time to make content! As listed above on this episode, this is my first food recipe on this podcast. I dehydrate veggies often to get more greens in my diet. In this segment, I dehydrated kale and tofu. They make a great snack and are open to almost any kind of spices and seasonings you'd like to apply to them. In the second segment, I discuss my favorite quotes from prolific author John C. Maxwell's book 'The Difference Maker.' I love the self-help books, and I gravitated towards this one. Next up, I go over my gaming year in 2024. Nintendo, Playstation, Xbox, and Valve provide player stats, which are a lot of fun. I break my numbers down for these last twelve months. Have you(if your game) checked out your player stats for 2024 from any of these websites? Please let me know. Finally, daydreaming of the spring/summer months inspired me to assemble this soca mixtape. Soca reminds me of summer parties and dancing outside with friends.
