In this extra episode of the Radio DePaul Podcast, Neelam takes a look at the National Association of Black Journalist's chapter at DePaul. Monique talks about how she helped create the DePaul NABJ chapter and why there wasn't one like it before. The episode highlights the importance of the organization, what it stands for and how Black DePaul students can benefit from joining. Such organizations include DePaul's Office of Multicultural Student Success (OMSS) and the school's STAR program for first generation students. Students who are interested in joining the NABJ should contact the group's advisor — Journalism professor and award winning documentary maker, Judith McCray at jmccray1@depaul.edu.
