After 13 or so years, I’ve reached the end. It’s time to step aside and let the next generation continue talking about Disney. It’s been a great ride and I’ve enjoyed it.

I’ve got a rather strong opinion about what happened in the state, regarding Disneys special improvement district. In summary: it can’t end well for any of us, and not really thinking this through will cause Disney world to change in unexpected ways. I talk about the history and how we got here.

I have some thoughts and observations from recent reports coming from the Disney company which I share here.

Back in 1977, Ray Bradbury wrote a preliminary / concept script for what would become spaceship earth. While it wasn’t used as it was, many of the concepts as well as the overall theme are still evident today.

We had the luxury of hearing from admiral Fowler; he did an interview as part of some B-roll footage before the magic kingdom opened, and later in a forum he talked about the parks.
