Let's Talk About It with Jenny White/The Title of the book: The Mountain Is You

5/6/2023
Why do we do it, when do we do it, and how do we stop doing it for good. Coexisting but conflicting needs create self sabotaging behaviors. This is why we resist efforts to change often until they feel completely futile. But by extracting crucial insight from our most damaging habits, building emotional intelligence by better understanding our brains and bodies releasing past experiences at a cellular level, and learning to act as our potential future selves, we can step out of our own way and into our potential.

The Prescription of Words -- Write Stuff -- 5/2/2023

5/3/2023
Writers have been given a wonderful gift to create and tell stories that can uplift the soul, encourage the spirit, and inspire the imagination. Some may even consider writers as warriors of ink. But what if we're the doctors -- providing a prescription? It was this idea that brought me to invite author and editor M. A. Malcom onto the show today as we discuss the profound idea that our words can be healing to ourselves and to others. The question is, are you holding back on the prescription? Using the Law Lawfully -- The Parker J Cole Show

4/22/2023
How many times have you heard that Christians are no longer under the Law but under grace? Does this mean that Old Testament laws like "Thou shalt not kill" no longer apply to us today? How do we balance the moral code of the Old Testament with its fulfillment in the New Testament? Using the Law Lawfully is an in-depth analysis of the Old Testament Law condensed into 120 outlines, comparing each Old Testament command with its New Testament application. This book is designed both for personal study and as a guide for teachers and pastors with ample room for your own notes as you learn to use the Law as it was always meant to be used. AI and the Creative -- Write Stuff -- 4/18/2023

4/19/2023
Will AI take over my job as a creative? The threat seems to loom over the creative markets as AI tools such as Chat GPT, MidJourney, and other AI generators seamlessly do in seconds what it takes mere humans to do in hours, days, weeks, months, or even years! With a well crafted prompt, and some corrective software, AI can generate delicious, richly detailed images or craft stories that sweep the imagination. In fact perhaps the real question is this: Are we standing on the horizon of humanity's last dawn before the rise of the machine eradicates the need of it's creators? In the sage words of my guest co-host and contributor, Donovan Neal -- no. In fact, my guest and I talk about the positive uses of AI and how it will revolutionize the industry. Notwithstanding, there are things to be concerned about on both a physical and spiritual aspect. So, join in the conversation on Tuesday, April 18th at 7 pm Eastern time. Peering into the Tunnel: An Outsider's Look into Grief -- The Parker J Cole Show

4/15/2023
It's going on two years since Granny passed away and the Lord has carried me through this time. Yet, with the sharpness and sensitivity that comes from having loved well and grieved hard, several of my author friends have experienced their own journeys and paths with grief. This show is dedicated to them. And to you. Yes, you. The 'outsider' griever who watches from the sidelines as someone you care about goes through loss. What do you say when there’s nothing to say? Do you feel tongue tied, ill-equipped, or at a complete loss when you encounter someone who is grieving? All of us have experienced grief on some level, and we can equip ourselves to care for others who are grieving the impossible. This book, "Peering Through the Tunnel" is meant to show us how to help the griever.Practical tips and poignant pain, often intermingled with joy, are expressed throughout, told from the point of view of those in the tunnel of grief. It’s my hope that we will equip ourselves and then be brave enough and willing enough to enter in, reaching towards our grievers. Join me as I chat with Angie Clayton about her book and help you, dear you, to be a help to those in times of need. You can listen on Saturday, April 15th at 2:00 pm Eastern time. Let's Talk About It with Jenny/Why deaths soared among Black and Hispanic women?

3/25/2023
Maternal deaths soared during the Covid-19 pandemic, particularly among Black and Hispanic women, according to a study published in JAMA Network Open on Tuesday, underscoringthe vast inequalities that worsened during the crisis and the unique health issues the virus posed to pregnant people. Key facts: the number of maternal deaths in the U.S. jumped by a third (33%) after March 2020-roughly the start of the Covid-19 pandemic-compared to the two years before, according to an analysis of data from the National Center for Health Statistics. This disproportionately affected Black and Hispanic women, the researchers found, where deaths respectively increased by 40% and 74%. Among direct causes, which increased nearly 28%, records noting diabetes during pregnancy almost doubled (96%), while those noting blood pressure disorders and other pregnancy related conditions each increased by 39% and 48%.

The Coming Christian Persecution -- Write Stuff -- 3/21/2023

3/22/2023
Churches burned. Christians beheaded. Catholic communities driven underground. Governments forcing silence upon those who profess fidelity to the gospel. These experiences are not confined to those of the early Church or to the missionaries and converts in far-off pagan lands centuries ago. The persecution of Christians is happening right now ― and it is closer to home than you may realize. Throughout the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and even in the West, Christian communities are being targeted for their beliefs, whether through violence or public policy, and it’s a trend that continues to escalate. Moral theologian and news analyst Dr. Thomas Williams incisively juxtaposes the still relatively unknown global Christian persecution of today with that of previous epochs, describing it in its various forms and providing insight into what it means for the Church and for society at large. He also provides valuable advice on how these outrages can be remedied and what Christians can do to prepare for what is to come. Mars, UAPs, and Revising Reality -- The Parker J Cole Show

3/18/2023
It's been a while since I had my guest, Doug Woodward, also known by the moniker Doomsday Doug on my show. Today we are going to talk about some of my favorite topics -- Mars, UAPs (UFOs for the traditionalists out there) and Revising Reality -- how the James A Webb telescope is giving rise to re-interpreting our understanding of the cosmos. What is it about our red celestial neighbor that fascinates us? Why did the government, after years of denying UFOs suddenly change course? What if gravity is not what holds the universe together? These and many other topics we discuss on today's show. This particular episode truncates a lot of the information Doug discussed on Dr. Ten Penny's podcast episode entitled, 'Heavenly Signs and the Gospel Truth'. Whereas Doug and I only scratch the surface, you can listen to the full four-hour interview at Dr Ten Penny's podcast at drtenpenny.com/gospeltruth. You won't be disappointed. Listen at 646-668-8485.
