To hear why this is a glorious album, and it is, what its like to work in Parks and Rec, why San Fransisco feels like a teenage oasis of culture and which flavour of Takis we love, press play now…

OG OR MAN - £100k's Not That Much You Know! // 26 Apr 2024

4/22/2024
It really isn’t, what with private school fees, ski-ing lessons and maintaining two decent dressage horses, for heaven’s sake! Well, if Jeremy Hunt’s “woman from Godalming” teaches us anything, it is that poverty is all relative. Still, it is curious that only a Tory politician could show compassion for a person who is, by anybody’s standards, stunningly wealthy, while at the same time attempting to criminalise rough sleepers. This week’s show encompasses, inter alia: sweary fuzz psych and hard rock from Manchester, frantic new wave and art rock from Leeds and Stoke, glitchy drone rock from Beirut, evanescent jazz pop from East Anglia and Bristol and a gigantic slab of dream psych from Russian exiles. And euphoric Argentinian synth-rock from Berlin. OG OR MAN – music to put you in a right mood.
