A Holistic Approach to Nutrition with Dr. Ann Doggett

4/3/2024
Today we welcome Dr. Ann Doggett, the founder of WholeBody Solutions in Braintree, MA which is a Hollistic Wellness Center focused on healing the body from the inside out using natural remedies. Dr. Ann has over 30 years of clinical experience and has helped patients across the country through chiropractic, nutrition, herbal medicine and regenerative medicine. Dr. Ann sits down to talk with us today about what essential nutrients the female body needs, as well as those of our children. For individual problems, she analyzes the origin of health issues and identifies underlying causes of symptoms, and then customizes treatment plans for each patient with a holistic approach, rather than western medicine. The three of us are far from being "health nuts" but we know we can't use that as an excuse to neglect the nutrients our bodies need, and we're ready to start making small changes toward a healthier lifestyle. Doing a total overhaul of your diet can be stressful and overwhelming, we get it! but Dr. Ann is here to simplify this process and inspire us all to reach our full potential for our mind, body and soul. Helicopter Wives

1/10/2024
Are you a control freak when it comes to the kids lunches, their outfits, packing for trips, scheduling their day, and delegating chores around the house to Dad? If you answered yes, you're a HELICOPTER WIFE. We're not so sure it's a terrible thing....but maybe we should put a little more trust in the Dads that they can get shit done without our psycho supervision! Yes, we like things done a certain way, but we're learning to let things go and give our husbands more credit that they can handle chaos just as good, even if it looks different to how we handle it. On todays episode, we discuss the old fashioned "gender norms" and the roles husbands/wives and mom/dads played, and how our families function in the modern day (AKA the bad wives, where our marriages are 50/50!) The three of us vent about recent arguments between our spouses (not everything is always as peachy as you see on instagram) and how we run a household where efforts are equal in all categories. At the end, we get a little house renovation update from Libby! If you loved this episode, please leave us a 5 star rating and hit the follow button! BYE 2023!

1/9/2024
Happy New Years, BWC fam! We're back with a fun new episode where we recap our holiday break. Libby explores LEGO Discovery Center Boston with Joseph where they have everything from rides to a LEGO 4D Cinema. Liz and Laura break down their NYC trip with their families starting with The Christmas Spectacular at Radio City followed by lunch and The Sugar Factory and then The Sloomoo Institute where they make our own slime. Feeling greatful we talk about what we're bringing into 2024. But before we dive into all that - we got into a random but interesting conversation about boy/girl dynamics, how our children perceive same-sex couples, and breaking the "stigma" of what toys and activities are typically gender labeled. We also discuss the toxicity of not only children and technology, but us parents being addicted! Let's break some bad habits in 2024 and have more "no phone" zones. 12/13/2023
It's hard to believe that our babies are already ONE! Delilah and Rocco just turned one, so we're reflecting back on this past year by discussing our biggest challenges, what we've learned, our favorite stages, and our best advice for expecting first time moms. We talk about timing of milestones (or lack thereof LOL) and trending things we did and didn't do with our little ones, such as baby lead weaning. We also talk about our experiences on introducing siblings and our different views hospital visits. We give a gentle reminder that all babies are SO different!
