Olivier winner Eleanor Worthington-Cox is starring as Cilla Black and Cynthia Powell, John Lennon’s first wife, in the world premiere of Tom Wright’s play Please Please Me at the Kiln Theatre. Directed by Amit Sharma, the play tells the story of Brian Epstein, the influential manager often described as the “fifth Beatle”. Eleanor won an Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical when she was one of the original Matilda Wormwoods in the West End production of Matilda The Musical. As a child, her credits also include: Chorus in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Liverpool Empire), Jean Louise “Scout” Finch in To Kill a Mockingbird (Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre), Blousey Brown in Bugsy Malone (Lyric Hammersmith) and Jess in Tomcat (Southwark Playhouse). The production was filmed and has been released internationally to huge acclaim. Robyn Rose-Li is starring as Terpsichore, one of the Muses, in Disney's Hercules. Inspired by the 1997 Walt Disney Animation Studios film, Hercules opened at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in 2025. The show has music by Alan Menken, lyrics by David Zippel, and a brand-new book by Robert Horn and Kwame Kwei-Armah. The production is directed by Casey Nicholaw and co-choreographed with Tanisha Scott. Desmonda Cathabel has just finished her run as Eurydice in the West End production of Hadestown. She’s now in rehearsals to star as Lily Turner in Rosie: A New Musical. The show will be performed as a one-night-only semi-staged gala at the Adelphi Theatre on Tuesday 17th March. Rosie tells the true story of Miss Rosie Boote, who was raised in a convent in Ireland and dreamt of becoming a star on the West End stage in Edwardian London. The show has book, music and lyrics by Chris Broom. Desmonda is from Indonesia and came to the UK to train at the Royal Academy of Music. She won the Stephen Sondheim Society Student Performer of the Year in 2022. Desmonda was a quarter finalist in the ITV casting show Mamma Mia! I Have A Dream. Her theatre credits include alternate Kim in Miss Saigon (Sheffield Crucible), Princess Jasmine in Disney’s Aladdin (UK & Ireland Tour) and From Here To Eternity (Charing Cross Theatre). Desmonda performed in Maria Friedman’s solo show at Crazy Coqs and the Menier Chocolate Factory, and was later directed by Maria in the star-studded Stephen Sondheim’s Old Friends concert. Laura Harrison is playing Mrs Lyons in the touring production of Blood Brothers. Laura is also the alternate Mrs Johnstone and has history with the show, having previously played Donna Marie and Miss Jones whilst understudying Mrs Lyons. Broadway star Nick Rashad Burroughs is in London playing Horace in Todrick Hall’s musical Midnight at Sadlers Wells East. Nick made his Broadway debus as an Angel and Billy Porter’s understudy for Lola in Kinky Boots. He went on to do King Kong on Broadway, before being part of the original Broadway cast of Tina: The Tina Turner Musical, initially in the show’s ensemble before taking over the role of Ike Turner. Nick's other theatre credits include playing Lautrec in the US tour of Moulin Rouge, Minstrel and cover Shakespeare in the US tour of Something Rotten as well as lots of US regional theatre where he has played roles like Donkey in Shrek, Seaweed in Hairspray, Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar and he was also Jimmy Early in Dreamgirls at The Muny. Nick has worked on screen, he has recorded original music and performed on ships all over the world. Nick has been best friends with Marisha Wallace for years, and last year performed with her at the Adelphi Theatre as part of her big solo show and live album. Ntombizodwa Ndlovu is starring as Marie Knight in Marie and Rosetta. Written by George Brant and directed by Monique Touko, Marie and Rosetta premiered last year at the Rose Theatre in Kingston ahead of a short tour. The production is now transferring to the West End for a limited run at @SohoPlace. Ntombizodwa stars alongside Beverley Knight as Rosetta Tharpe. Ntombizodwa has worked extensively in Manchester, with some of her theatre credits including Blithe Spirit at Hope Mill and Cat On A Hot Tin Roof at the Royal Exchange. KoKo Alexandra is starring as Katherine Jackson and Kate in the West End production of MJ The Musical. KoKo is from Alabama and has been on an incredible journey so far in her career. After spending many years performing at sea on cruise ships and appearing on The Voice US, KoKo moved to London. She received huge acclaim for her performance as Lady Liv in Play On on tour and at the Lyric Hammersmith and later played Spirit of the Ring in Aladdin at the Palace Theatre in Newark. For the last year KoKo has been making her West End debut as Katherine Jackson and Kate in MJ and the show is now coming to the end of its London run. Billy was part of the tour's original cast as Lafayette and Jefferson whilst also understudying Aaron Burr. He went on to takeover as Aaron Burr full-time for the final year of the tour. Billy's theatre credits include: Fred in Groundhog Day (Old Vic), Jesus Christ Superstar (Barbican/Regent’s Park Open Air), Wonderful Town (Opera Holland Park) and Turn Up, The Color Purple in Concert and Overture (Cadogan Hall). Billy was nominated for Outstanding Performance in a Musical at the 2022 Black British Theatre Awards for his performance as Store Manager and Dewey in the London revival of Legally Blonde (Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre). He was a swing in the original cast of & Juliet in Manchester and in the West End, and later returned to the show as Francois. Vivian Panka is starring as Regina George in Mean Girls. Following its London run, the musical kicks off its first ever UK and Ireland tour later this month. Tina Fey adapted Mean Girls from her 2004 film, collaborating with Jeff Richmond who composed the music and Nell Benjamin who wrote the lyrics. The show is directed and choreographed by Casey Nicholaw. Jamie Chatterton is playing Warner in Legally Blonde. Nikolai Foster is directing an all-new production, starring Amber Davies as Elle Woods, which opens at Leicester Curve in February ahead of a UK and Ireland tour. Jamie graduated from ArtsEd and went on to originate the role of Alan Osmond in the world premiere of The Osmonds musical (UK Tour). He then originated the role of Tom Fraser in The Little Big Things (Soho Place), which was also filmed for digital release and recorded a cast album. Directed by Sam Pinkleton, Oh, Mary! is described as a dark comedy about a "miserable, suffocated" Mary Todd Lincoln in the weeks leading up to Abraham Lincoln’s assassination. Mason made their London theatre debut as the Emcee in Cabaret (Kit Kat Club at the Playhouse theatre) and went on play Ariel in The Tempest and Margaret in Much Ado About Nothing, both at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane and directed by Jamie Lloyd. Mason famously played Hedwig in the US tour of Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Their other theatre work includes playing St. Jimmy in American Idiot (Deaf West, Center Theatre Group Los Angeles), Charlotte von Mahlsdorf in I Am My Own Wife (Long Wharf Theatre), Dr. Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Show (Bucks County Playhouse, Pittsburgh CLO), Creator and Performer in The Pansy Craze (Audible at The Minetta Lane Theatre).
