Quick Update, Coaching, Adobe Adding Ai To Make Editing Easier
10/21/2023
This is a quick update on my journey. I had to wait until the weekend because of the construction starting up again outside my window this week.
I'm diving deeper into coaching, it's a rabbit hole.
Adobe has added Ai editing features to Premiere Pro that SHOULD be coming to Audition.

My interviewee in this episode is actor Ira Heiden. He's a prolific actor who has been in many films and TV shows you've likely seen. I know him through mutual friends and actors Bill and Sherman Allen, the latter of which I interviewed in my first episode.
We talk about how his career actually started at a young age, how he got discovered, how he got his most fun recent voice acting gig and more.

Audiobook Narrator Liza Jacob
8/31/2023
My guest today is Liza Jacob. She's a prolific audiobook narrator, recording books under her own name and also her pseudonym Clara Abbott. We have a lively discussion about how she tripped and fell into recording audiobooks and booked her first job before she had any training. She offers me some fantastic advice and inspired me to start working on my first demo.
It's going to be a DIY demo, not necessarily for use, but for practice. Bill Dewees suggests this in a YouTube video.

Tansy Alexander
8/24/2023
This episode is a fun and informative chat with Voiceover artist and actor Tansy Alexander. She was recently up for an award for her work on Stranger Things, a show I love, for her narration for the blind. With her experience, she has a wealth of knowledge of what it takes to become a voice actor. We talk about how and why to find a coach, the importance of treating this as a business first and foremost. I learned a lot from this one, I hope you will, too.

A Conversation With Sherman Allen
8/17/2023
This episode was a fun conversation among friends. I've known Sherman Allen, an actor who's been in Longmire, Better Call Saul, Manhattan and a host of other hit shows and movies, and he's read many audiobooks and done quite a bit of voiceover work. We talk about how he finds work, the Mid-Atlantic "accent" and more.
I've labeled this episode as "explicit" because it contains some swearing, so it's NSFW.
