In episode two…we sit down with Basketball Hall of Famer Bill Walton, who was a member of the Celtics for only two seasons, but the passion with which he always spoke about the franchise is unmatched. Walton, of course, was the star of the John Wooden UCLA teams that won an incredible 88 games in a row and two national championships. His NBA career began in Portland, where Walton led the Cinderella Trail Blazers to the 1977 NBA title. But injuries to Walton started piling up. He played in only 57% of the regular season games during his ten year career. He was rejuvenated, however, when he was traded to Boston in the summer of 1985. Here is our extended interview with Bill Walton, conducted by the director of The ‘86 Celtics documentary, Tory Champagne.
