It has been quite a week in the markets with plenty of volatility across grains, livestock and outside markets. Demand continues to be a key piece of the conversation along with headline news driving many markets, especially the cattle futures. We discuss all of those topics and get perspective on the recent market action with Chad Hart, professor and economist at Iowa State University to wrap up the week. Chicago and KC wheat futures are leading the continued short covering rally in the grains on Friday while livestock markets are mixed. We also got jobs data out that was lower than analyst expectations on Friday morning. Arlan Suderman, Chief Commodities Economist at StoneX, joins us to discuss.

Soybeans and soybean meal led the grains trade mostly higher on Thursday with December corn also getting above some key moving averages and chart objectives. The wheat markets continue to weather related short covering by the funds with KC wheat the leader on Wednesday. Corn and soybeans are largely two-sided around unchanged with a slightly lower day in livestock. Arlan Suderman, Chief Commodities Economist at StoneX joins us to discuss.

We saw overnight escalation between Israel and Iran, EPA announced the summertime E-15 waiver on Friday and livestock trade was mixed with hogs finding strength while cattle were mixed ahead of the latest Cattle on Feed Report.
