Welcome to another exciting episode of The Personal Wealth Coach Podcast with your hosts, Jeff and Jake McClure. It looked like it was going to be a good week in the market right up until Thursday morning, when things took a turn. On this episode of The Personal Wealth Coach Jeff and Jake, as they often do, start us out with this week's market, treasury and crude oil changes. The Laffer point, the what now? Jake explains what it is and how it's relevant when talking about taxes and tariffs. Jeff's follow-up is on the cycle of recessions in the U.S.. Jake hogs the mic a bit and touches on some of the unintended ways tariffs are going to make things more difficult. Jeff continues on income taxes and then to the American Dollar. Jeff and Jake sound very passionate as they go on about what the President and the DOGE team are doing. Are they doing the right thing and are they going about doing it the right way? Welcome to another exciting episode of The Personal Wealth Coach Podcast with your hosts, Jeff and Jake McClure. Happy Valentine's Day!!!! On this dedicated day of love, Jeff and Jake start us out, as they typically do, with this week's market update. Following that update is some information on inflation. Jake tries to sell someone a $97 pencil. Talk about a rip off. And goes on to make me wonder how much time he's spent researching chickens. Jeff talks about retail sales which, by the end, looped back around to inflation again. This episode was recorded on February 14th, 2025. Welcome to another exciting episode of The Personal Wealth Coach Podcast with your hosts, Jeff and Jake McClure. On this episode, Jeff and Jake spend a bit of time on the S&P 500 Index and how investors are reacting, or perhaps not reacting, to things that historically they have, which can be a dangerous thing to do. After continuing on with the rest of our weekly market updates, we start out with a jobs report and some details on how a jobs report is obtained. Throughout this entire episode Jake tries his best to remind everyone listening, all three of you, that they are in no way favoring any president or former president. More reports are next up on the show, oh yay. The Commerce Department’s Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) and the Census Bureau report on imports and exports. Jake uses a strong word when starting out the final topic, why is the U.S. economy doing so dern good compared to most every other major economy. At this point I'll apologize for using the D word but Jake said it first. This episode was recorded on February 7th, 2025. Welcome to another exciting episode of The Personal Wealth Coach Podcast with your hosts, Jeff and Jake McClure. This week, Jake keeps it short. After hearing how the broad market, treasury yields, and crude oil did this week, we hear a bit on the 2024 GDP estimates. But, what is the GDP and how is it obtained? Next, there are some recent publishings that Jake feels the need to talk about. I zoned out, so you're just going to have to listen for yourself. It was probably interesting, especially when Joe and Frank start talking about a pool tool dinglehopper cleaner. This episode was recorded on January 31st, 2025. Welcome to another exciting episode of The Personal Wealth Coach Podcast with your hosts, Jeff and Jake McClure. In this week's episode Jeff and Jake try to figure out how to invest in the opposite of futures, the past (pastures?)! If only it was that easy, I'd never lose money in the market. Our first topic big topic this week, after the market update, is on oil prices. President Trump has said he wants to drill drill drill! But, is it that easy? If you continue to listen, Social Security is next on the chopping block. If you're like me and collecting Social Security is still many many years into the future, you've probably heard at least someone say that it will be gone at some point because there is more going out than is going in. Well, Jeff and Jake try and explain why we have a shortfall and what some options are to fix that. This episode was recorded on January 24th, 2025. Welcome to another exciting episode of The Personal Wealth Coach Podcast with your hosts, Jeff and Jake McClure. Included in this week's market update, a bit of interesting information on the somewhat odd interest rates we have right now. Buckle in because the first big topic for this week is insurance history. I say buckle in because that is probably the only way you're going to not want to leave. Fortunately, that leads us into something a bit closer to home, the fires in Los Angeles. We'd be very surprised if you hadn't heard something about the lack of insurance covering the L.A. fires. Hopefully, this will clear at least a little of it up. And if you've read many of my podcast summaries, you might come to the conclusion that listening to these on a weekly basis is one of the worst things I have to do (I'm joking), but luckily that was not the case this week. Welcome to another exciting episode of The Personal Wealth Coach Podcast with your hosts, Jeff and Jake McClure. After Jeff and Jake open this first whole week of 2025's podcast with their typical market indicators, they go into a bit on oil prices and why we've seen an increase this week. The next big topic for the week is on employment numbers. Does the immigration of people into the U.S. help or hurt our employment numbers? Next up on the chopping block is the long-term changes currently happening in the American workforce. Changes such as the percentage of blue collar versus white collar workers and fluctuations in different industries such as service and professional. To finish us for this week, some words are said on how this expansion has some interesting differences. And lastly, Jake gets his crystal ball out and asks it about interest rates. Listen in to see what it says. This episode was recorded on January 10th, 2025. If you would like to contact us, please send an email to us at Jeff@tpwc.com or Jake@tpwc.com. Welcome to another exciting episode of The Personal Wealth Coach Podcast with your hosts, Jeff and Jake McClure. It's here folks, the first podcast of 2025 and if you can figure out what in the world these two are talking about for the first minute and a half, or maybe the whole podcast, give yourself a pat on the back. While not at their best, but still better than I could do, Jeff and Jake give us the first week's market movement for 2025. For those of you who may have decided to start listening to the podcast this week, the general market indicator we track here is the Standard and Poor's 500 Index. However, the CRSP Mid Cap Value Index is something we like to note as it typically gives a better look at the market when the magnificent 6-7 aren't included. We also take a weekly look at U.S. Treasury yields and West Texas Intermediate crude oil. Now, if you continue listening, Jeff and Jake go on to talk about business and consumer confidence. There is some talk about the promised tariffs and what just the promise of having them from a President does. AI, microchips, and quantum processing are hot topics because progress might get halted by tariffs. The wrap up this week is on the narrowing wage gap and the new worker entering the workforce, machines. This episode was recorded on January 3rd, 2025. Welcome to another exciting episode of The Personal Wealth Coach Podcast with your hosts, Jeff and Jake McClure. Jake is a little stumbly to start us out during our last podcast of 2024. As you may have guessed, we start this week's podcast out with an update on this week's three-and-a-half-day market. For some reason, the days between Christmas and New Year tend to have very little economic news to report on so, Jake goes on to do a bit of 2024 comparison between the U.S. and other parts of the world. As you've heard for the last many weeks, the U.S. is doing well but what do we need to look out for going into the future that could change that? Jake spends a bit of time talking about a large shift in manufacturing that is happening. To wrap up the final podcast of 2024, Jake decides to talk about homelessness. The good news, the bad news, and the news you probably haven't heard about. This episode was recorded on December 27th, 2024. Welcome to another exciting episode of The Personal Wealth Coach Podcast with your hosts, Jeff and Jake McClure. Jeff and Jake eventually got around to filling us in on this week's less than favorable market changes. Then went on tell us about the Fed's rate decisions for this week and likely, the near future. After listening to lots of abbreviations, I started to wonder if maybe they should just start recording the entire podcast using the first letter of every word they wanted to use. It would still make about as much sense to me as it does now. Politically, a lot is happening right now and as you might be able to guess, Jeff and Jake go into it. House Bill 82 was an interesting topic. Does the windfall elimination provision or government pension offset affect you? Lastly, but not least, things to look out for and prepare to read some fine print. This episode was recorded on December 20th, 2024. Welcome to another exciting episode of The Personal Wealth Coach Podcast with your hosts, Jeff and Jake McClure. This week, Jake has a few explanations to throw into the weekly market update, containing this week's S&P 500, CRSP Mid Cap Value, debt markets and crude oil movement. Jake goes on to say that higher inflation is up. Well darn. But why? Then, to pile on the not so good news, oil prices are up. My pocketbook just can't catch a break..... Jake's first big topic is on the pattern of income during different times of economic fluctuations, comparing lower income and higher income folks. Next, Jake heads across the ocean to the other side of the world. Germany, Russia, Chana, etc. aren't doing great, to say the least. What are the future tariffs that are, are Jake put it, very very very very very very........ likely to happen, going to do to those parts of the world that rely on exports to the U.S.? If you thought the bitcoin conversation from last week was over, you're very wrong. Jake received some feedback that he responds to. Bringing up those tulips again.... Welcome to another exciting episode of The Personal Wealth Coach Podcast with your hosts, Jeff and Jake McClure. Jake makes it through our weekly market update without a single overly long explanation or side story. How? Your guess is as good as mine. THEN! he continues on with a straightforward update on what happened in the economy this week. Maybe it was something I said? Anyhow, the big topic for the rest of this episode is on bitcoin. Naturally, Jake starts at the beginning..... Listen in to see how many rabbits' holes Jake makes it down. This episode was recorded on December 6th, 2024. Weekly Market Insights November 25 - 29, 2024

Welcome to another exciting episode of The Personal Wealth Coach Podcast with your hosts, Jeff and Jake McClure. After blowing right through our weekly market update, Jake goes off on probably the wildest tangent I've heard on this podcast as he adds a topic in the spur of the moment on oil and energy. Our first official topic is on personal income and prices. This is followed by a talk on real estate and mortgage rates. Then comes China. China is in a bad spot and it's not likely to get better tomorrow. What might that lead to? If history repeats itself, then it looks like we already know. Welcome to another exciting episode of The Personal Wealth Coach Podcast with your hosts, Jeff and Jake McClure. As if it were a big surprise, this episode starts out with an update on your most loved market indicators. Jake helps explains the flat curve (???) of the interest yield curve. This explanation leads into a longer discussion about PMIs and tariffs. Once again there is talk about how well the U.S. is doing and the even more bleak outlook of other countries. On a side note, I've started planning my trip to the E.U. Jeff throws in a new term, leveraged ETF and lucky for me, Jake tells us what that is. (I wonder if maybe explaining what things are is how he gets a good night's sleep.) Lastly, watch out for scams. Yes! they happen. Happy Turkey Day!!!! Weekly Market Insights November 11 - 15, 2024

Welcome to another exciting episode of The Personal Wealth Coach Podcast with your hosts, Jeff and Jake McClure. This week's S&P 500 Stock Index and CRSP US Mid Cap Value Index were not a thing of beauty as they have been most of this year, but as they say, it could have been worse. After our market updates, we start out with tariffs. While tariffs may be imposed on specific goods or countries, it's not the shipper that pays those tariffs. So, who does? There is quite a bit of talk about the differences or in some cases, lack of differences between presidential campaigns. One of our issues in the U.S. of A. is a large labor shortage. Obviously, we all need to go out and get a second or third or maybe even forth job. Then we wouldn't have to worry about those grocery prices. Jake boasts about looking at Federal balance sheets... sounds like fun. But, because of that there is a little bit of light at the end of the tunnel for the real estate market.
