Welcome to 2026!
We are officially done with our holiday breaks and back in the Rock studio for a full five days of work after a couple of short weeks.
We announced the upcoming 80's Fest line-up at Maple Grove Venues this summer, and we also recapped our Christmas & New Year's activities.
In the news this morning, Hannah Dugan is resigning, the latest on the Maduro situation, an update on the daycares in Minnesota, and a class-action lawsuit involving the McRib.
In sports, a recap of the Week 18 NFL schedule as well as a look at the upcoming Wild Card round. Myles Garrett gets the single-season sack record and Black Monday in the NFL began yesterday. We talked about the Bucks recent success, the remaining College Football bowl schedule, the Badgers loss to Purdue over the weekend, and a stat that only the Jets could accomplish.
We let you know what's on TV today/tonight and we also discussed some of the highly-anticipated movies that are coming out in 2026. Plus, a look at a list of films that will be turning 50 this year!
Had a cool story about a former teacher in Tennessee who's now a world record holder. And a woman in Iowa is very thankful for the staff at a hospital who went above & beyond to find her missing rings.

Welcome to the final work day of 2025!

In the news this morning, the Trump administration is freezing child-care funds for the state of Minnesota, more than thirty bodies have been recovered from the bayous in the Houston area this year, the FBI released pictures of a motorcycle collection they seized that belonged to former Olympian Ryan Wedding, and actor Isiah Whitlock Jr. has passed away.
In sports, the Badger men's basketball team got a nice win last night, the Bucks play tonight and look to win a third straight, a look at the NFL's Week 18 schedule along with the College Football bowl game schedule.
Cool story about a toy store in Arizona that donated a bunch of toys to the local Salvation Army right before Christmas…and another incredible story of a group of middle schoolers who helped save a bus driver who was experiencing a medical emergency.
Elsewhere in sports, the latest on the Stefon Diggs situation, his brother Trevon Diggs gets released by the Cowboys, and Nikola Jokic is going to be out for a month after injuring his knee the other day.
As we say goodbye to 2025, we listed some of the rockers & celebrities who died in the past year.

In sports, the Falcons beat the Rams on MNF to wrap up week 17, a look at the schedule for the final week of the regular season, a look at the upcoming Bowl game schedule, the Bucks got another win last night, the Badger men's basketball team plays tonight after a lengthy holiday break, UFC fighter Tom Aspinall needs multiple eye surgeries, Ryan Lochte is selling some of his Olympic medals, and tragedy strikes the world of NASCAR yet again with the deadly fire at Denny Hamlin's parents' home.

The Christmas break is over and we got a bunch of rain & precipitation the last few days before getting snow dumped on top of that. Driving this morning was atrocious!
Back to the grind for a few days this week before we'll once again be off for the New Year's holiday on Thursday & Friday.
Speaking of New Year's, a new poll revealed what Americans really want to do on NYE. And since it is the end of 2025 this week, we looked at some end-of-the-year data from YouTube and Google.
In the news, the Powerball was won on Christmas Eve by someone in Arkansas, the body of a missing swimmer is recovered, a #FloridaMan killed his wife & shot his stepdaughter over an argument about an NFL game, and the government is investigating a deadly crash involving two helicopters in New Jersey.
In sports, a recap of this weekend's NFL action and a look at some of the important matchups in Week 18 with serious playoff implications! The last full week of work in 2025 comes to an end today!
We'll be around next Monday through Wednesday, but we'll both be off on Christmas & the day after. Same thing the following week for New Year's.
In the news this morning, an absolute tragedy involving NASCAR Champion Greg Biffle & his family as they all died in a plane crash yesterday along with three others. Also in the news, the Brown University shooter has been found dead in NH, Wisconsin judge Hannah Dugan was found guilty of obstruction. And in more positive news…the $1.5 Billion Powerball drawing is tomorrow!

Hump Day is here and we're once again digging out. Feels like we've gotten some snow almost every day for the last week.

In sports, the Lions beat the Cowboys on Thursday Night Football, a look at the rest of the Week 14 schedule, the Bucks play tonight against the 76ers, the Badger basketball team takes on Marquette tomorrow, and the women's volleyball team won last night and advances to the next round of the NCAA playoff.
Elsewhere in sports, the Brew Crew made it official with the return of the powder blue unis, and Jordan Love has been nominated by the Packers for the Walter Payton award.

In sports, the Bucks somehow beat the Pistons last night after Giannis went down with an "injury" early in the game. A discussion about the possible landing sports for Giannis if he does get traded by Milwaukee. Week 14 in the NFL kicks off tonight, the Badger Men's Basketball team opened up Big10 play with a win over Northwestern last night, and the Women's Volleyball team kicks off the NCAA D-1 Tournament tonight!
Elsewhere in sports, Chris Paul gets sent home by the Clippers, and a Larry Bird jersey is going up for auction.
We let you know what's on TV today/tonight and we talked about some people paying almost $400 to see the original "Wizard of Oz".
A scene that typically plays out in movies & TV shows happened in West Virginia when a semi-truck driver was rescued after he slid in the snow & left half his truck dangling over the edge of the bridge! In sports, Week 14 in the NFL kicks off tomorrow night, the Bucks play tonight and Giannis has been deleting Bucks content from his social media accounts. The Badger men's basketball team returns to the court tonight against Northwestern, the Steelers picked up Adam Theilen from the waiver wire, and the trial date has been set for Guardians pitchers Emmanuel Clase & Luis Ortiz.

A couple of incredible rescue stories this morning including an off-duty paramedic in L.A. who helped save a family from a fire, and another fire-rescue involving a utility worker in a bucket truck near Boston.
