The answers are chilling, as the Netflix documentary TITAN: THE OCEANGATE SUBMERSIBLE DISASTER makes clear. A stunning abuse of wealth and power and one spoiled billionaire's desire to be a "big swinging" you know what conspired to send five people to a dark and watery grave. But the real crime on display is the same brand of disdain and disregard for sound scientific principles that's currently crippling parts of our federal government.

In this offbeat, but exhaustive documentary INFERNO – THE BURNING OF MORRO CASTLE we learn how international political tensions, Depression era desperation and a serial killer conspired to turn a popular floating pleasure palace into a smoldering labyrinth of horrors.

As summer swelters, your hosts Christopher and Eric are determined to get in their last bit of beach time — inside in the frosty air conditioning watching bad things happen to those who spend too much time on the beach. Welcome to the first episode of Last Resorts Month, in which a new travel-themed true crime series called FATAL DESTINATION takes us south of the border for some bad real estate dealings and some bad romance. In episode 1, entitled "Baja Noir", we follow an affluent Houstonian as he heads to Rosarito Beach to pick up the keys to his sunny new condo. Little does he know the other man named on the deed has him scheduled for a darker date.

It's rare that one finds a documentary in which all the interview subjects direct the same level of venom and disdain at the same target with quite this much elegance and skill, but the BBC special EDWARD VIII: TRAITOR KING is one of them, and Christopher and Eric delight in every barbed sentence. Summer of Scandal concludes with a grand promenade into the world of royal families — and their scheming, traitorous, black sheep sons. You may know Edward VIII as the supposed romantic hero who gave up the crown for love. Did you also know he was a traitor to his country who gave the Nazis intelligence that proved critical to their war plans and that he spent more time trying to retrieve his wife's swimsuit from a war zone than to protect his brother and sister from the Blitz? We didn't either.

Summer of Scandal jitterbugs into the dangerous dance of politics with FALL TO GRACE, a so-called documentary that could use a lot more skip in its step. Remember when a politician coming out of the closet seemed like a seismic news event? In comparison to today's political climate, the story of New Jersey governor Jim McGreevy seems almost quaint. Grab your beach bag, Party People! (And the phone number for your best lawyer friend!) It's time for a Summer of Scandal. For the kick off, Christopher and Eric hop in a brand new Pierce-Arrow with Fatty Arbuckle, one of 1921's biggest silent film stars, and head up the California coast for said star's date with personal ruin. But did the highest paid actor in the world at that time do anything wrong in that infamous twelfth floor suite at San Francisco's St. Francis hotel? As they serve up season 1, episode 2 of the (surprisingly good) late 90's true crime TV series SCANDAL, entitled "Silenced Star", your hosts chew on Hollywood's first ever celebrity scandal. Turns out it’s hard to say whether the sour taste of guilt is coming from the accusers, or the accused.

Christopher and Eric round out All About Representation Month by asking you, our beloved Party People, about the queer people who have made the biggest impact in your life. Some of you went with ancient emperors, other chose lovers past and present. The result is a lively, warmhearted discussion of mentorship, community and friendship that ends our Pride Season celebration on an uplifting note. (Next month we'll do a hideously disturbing true crime episode again. Promise.)

Remember Blanche's gay brother on an early episode of THE GOLDEN GIRLS? When a bungled investigation and a sudden suicide served as an excuse to shut down the search for answers as to how a massive amount of human remains ended up on a pastoral Indiana horse farm, suspicions and conspiracy theories ran amuck, and various documentary filmmakers found a way to insert themselves into the fray. Welcome to All About Representation Month, beginning with a supersized True Crime TV Club that's about bringing long overdue justice to the forgotten gay victims of a vicious and prolific serial killer. When queer men started vanishing without a trace from the streets outside popular Indianapolis gay bars in the early 90's, their desperate final hours were eventually traced to a palatial horse farm in a seemingly idyllic suburb. Once there, investigators found what was then the largest repository of human remains in United States history. Was the supposedly upstanding owner of the property a vicious killer? And did he act alone? Christopher and Eric tackle these questions and more as they serve up Episodes 1 and 2 of the Hulu series THE FOX HOLLOW MURDERS: PLAYGROUND OF A SERIAL KILLER.

To atone for forcing Eric to endure three full episodes focused on one of reality television's most awful shows, Christopher wraps up Sin City Month by taking us down the rabbit hole of Las Vegas history, including the city's connection to the gay scion of a notorious Gilded Age copper baron. Then it's time to discuss the concept of sin itself with you, our beloved Party People. "What is the deadliest of the seven deadly sins?" they asked listeners on The Dinner Party Show's Facebook page. Their answers ran the gamut. But many of them searched for the one sin they felt gave rise to all others. Find out if there was a consensus and see where Christopher and Eric fell on the Big Seven – isn’t that supposed to be a lucky number?

In their second and final episode devoted to the Paramount + true crime series, SIN CITY GIGOLO, Christopher and Eric watch in disgust as a sanctimonious district attorney attempts to deflect the public's attention from terrible police work, and the man who most likely committed this awful crime descends into self-pitying rationalizations and flat out delusions. Are there any heroes to be found in this sad, tragic tale? And what single event first started this destructive and lethal spiral? The producers of the reality show that brought victim and killer together are willing to take some of the blame, but your host Eric has a more complex theory of the case that throws a much harsher light on everyone's role.
