My Show Called Life

Keeli is a survivor, who's lived a crazy life! Keeli lived part of her life in a hippie commune in the mountains of California, moved to Colorado where her family broke apart, splitting up her siblings. She also endured many abuses through her life, and has come out a stronger person who loves life and goes after what she wants. This is Keeli!

Keith is a newly published author of the novel, The Fallen! Keith grew up having to take care of his mother, who has an eating disorder, and at one point in his life ended up in the hospital room directly under his father after a suicide attempt stemming from depression. Boxing, family issues, and dealing with depression are just a few of the topics we discuss. This is Keith B!

Gabe grew up with his mother in the Philippines when his father moved to Texas with the rest of the kids to set up a life. Eventually Gabe and his mother also made their way to Texas. Today we talk to Gabe about life in the Philippines, trying to reconnect with his father and siblings, and how a tragedy changed him. This is Gabe!

This is Jen! Jen has lived enough for many lifetimes, and still manages to keep positive! An Army veteran, who served her country during the Iraq war, it took Jen many years for her to realize she had, and then deal with her PTSD. We talk about her journey from being raised in a small town in Michigan, joining the Army at 17, to letting the VA talk her into a treatment that was horrible. And we discover what she saw coming from Area 51, when she worked in what we called, Area 52...

This is my Dad! In this episode, we talk to my dad what it was like growing up in such tumultuous times during the 50's, 60's, and 70's while being so far removed from it, living in Portland, ME. We also discuss what Maine life was like, deciding to join the ARMY, and waiting outside his future wife's apt for hours, waiting for her to come out, and having to have an emergency c-section with your first born. From growing up with an abusive father, meeting his wife and becoming a father himself, Freddy has a compelling and unique story which is told with humor and gravitas. Native Mike... Born and raised in Austin, TX, Mike is one of the few remaining Austin natives in a city increasingly being taken over by out of towners(Californians). In this episode, Mike remembers a simpler time, before technology when you'd be out from sun up to sun down, and we talk about how times have changed. We talk about dating as a young man today vs yesteryear and how his father's heart attack and parents divorce gave him a fear of commitment. Finally Mike tells us what it's like...

Today we talk with James about being a husband, father, a veteran, as well as a good citizen. James tells us what it's like to be in a Humvee when it is blown up, as well as the affect PTSD has had on his life, and how was finally able to come to terms with it. From being a child of immigrant parents from El Salvador and Peru growing up in California, to being a husband and father of three living in Texas, This is James!

Jenn is a warrior woman, mom, and Life Coach(though she hates the term). She is using her life experiences to help other mothers struggling with alcohol as she did to empower them to take their lives back. From dealing with shame, abuse, and more than any person should have to deal with, Jenn came out a stronger, more confident woman. She's also a pretty awesome race car driver. This is Jenn!
