Comedy

Fearless Films Podcast is a weekly show where we walk through horror movies, breaking down the beats, discussing the lore and interesting trivia of all the best (and worst) in the horror movie genre. The show started as Pete, the horror buff, explaining the plots of horror movies to Kevin, the scaredy cat, who hates being scared but is intrigued by these modern mythologies. Kevin eventually retired from the podcast, but the show goes on! Pete is now joined by Sarah, who also loves horror movies, and they continue the tradition of explaining the scariest stories to all the scaredy cats out there, so they don't have to watch the movies.

Send us a text Merry Christmas, Fearless Fans!! If you are British and hate Santa Claus, then we have the movie for you! Two detectives are on the case, harassing witnesses and making inappropriate advances at every turn. But also, the daughter of one of the victims is trying to solve the mystery on her own. Also also, an exotic dancer who is a target of the killer has a piece of the narrative. This movie has too many main characters, but no main characters at the same time. 204 - Blood Rage

11/24/2025
Send us a text Happy Thanksgiving, Fearless Fans! The main course this year is a cheap slasher with at least three different names and just as many versions. We present 1987's Blood Rage (aka Nightmare at Shadow Woods, aka Complex, aka Slasher)!! Pete takes us through this wild tale of an evil twin brother that frames his sibling for murder, then years later goes on an insane murder spree when his brother escapes to confront him on Thanksgiving night. All the while their troubled mother slides further and further into madness. The version we watched was the edited-for-TV cut, which is so dismantled it can barely be considered an actual narrative. Which just adds to the fun! Join us as we discuss inappropriate times for sex, polyamorous friend groups, and what is or isn't cranberry sauce. And as always: don't get too scared!

221 - Jaws: The Revenge

10/20/2025
Send us a text Long before Halloween made it the hottest trend and Scream was spoofing the idea, Jaws was the master of the requel. This week, Pete takes us through Jaws: The Revenge, a film that completely ignores the events of the third entry and bills itself as the "actual" end of the trilogy. Lorrain Gary returns from retirement to portray Ellen Brody, widow and grieving mother after the death of her youngest son. Her oldest, Michael, takes her away to the Bahamas where he works as a marine biologist and lives with his family. However, a vengeful shark follows them across the Atlantic Ocean and continues hunting the family in this ultimately silly conclusion to the Jaws franchise. Join us as we discuss roaring sharks, high-explosive bug zappers, and the house that Michael Caine built with the money from this film. Get ready for a tropical escape filled with blood and terror, but remember: don't get too scared!

220 - Jaws 3-D

10/13/2025
Send us a text Sooner or later, every 80's franchise fell victim to the most dangerous beast - 3D gimmicks! This week, Pete takes us through the latest Jaws sequel, Jaws 3-D. This entry finds Michael Brody, all grown up and played by Dennis Quaid, working as an engineer at Seaworld. As soon as the park opens a new underwater attraction, a big-ass shark shows up and begins eating the guests! What follows is a mess of blood, terror, and cheap 3-D bits that really don't hold up. Join us as we discuss the dangers of capitalism, silly bar games, and the beginning of Lea Thompson's career. So grab a seat, put on your 3-D glasses, and most importantly: don't get too scared!

219 - Jaws 2

10/6/2025
Send us a text Just when you thought October was safe again... it's another franchise!! This year, Pete is hunting for the sequels to one of the greatest movies of all time, Jaws! Somehow, this cinema classic got not only one, but three sequels. And one of them is even a requel, starting well before Halloween made that its defining feature. Jaws 2, from 1978, is a mix of the classic Jaws formula and the then-budding slasher genre. This one features a ton of teenagers stranded in a remote location getting picked off one by one. And this time, the vengeful shark even has a horribly scarred face like all the slasher greats. The Brody family returns from the first film, as does the slimy mayor of Amity. Somehow, the local government STILL does not take Chief Brody seriously when he cries shark. However, no Quint and no Hooper means this movie only has a third of the charm as its predecessor. Join us as we discuss new shark lore, how explosive a water ski can be, the comfortability of love-making in a boat, and whether fish can truly seek revenge. Grab your life preserver, load your harpoon gun, and most importantly, don't get too scared!

216 - Fatal Games

9/1/2025
Send us a text When the students of an athletic academy begin disappearing in bloody ways, their Olympic dreams will become... an Olympic Nightmare!! ...wait a second, the name of this movie is Fatal Games. Or is it The Killing Touch? No matter which of its many titles you pick, Pete's choice this week is a bad 80's slasher movie that suffers from being overly tropey, horribly offensive on multiple fronts, and just a general sense of poor filmmaking. Join us as we discuss how impractical a javelin is for a slasher villain, the dangers of steroid use, and whether or not the characters in this movie are kids or adults (seriously, we're pretty sure the movie doesn't even know). So put on your jock straps, stretch out those muscles, and most importantly: don't get too scared!!

It's poorly made, often boring, and completely nonsensical. We're sure you'll love it!
