Episode 366 - Madame Viesta | OG Occult Influencer & Astral Traveler

3/29/2026
Meet Madame Vesta La Viesta, a trailblazing mystic and self-proclaimed astral traveler who fascinated early 20th-century New York City with her cosmic adventures and spiritual teachings. As a star instructor at Harlem’s Occult School of Science, she claimed her spirit could leave her body and explore distant planets. Her otherworldly encounters included extraterrestrial beings, soul-mated couples, and the intimate phenomenon she called the “soul kiss.” Madame Viesta also promoted some unusual beauty rituals, played an unexpected role in the search for a missing plane, and documented her astral revelations in her book People of Other Worlds. Was she a visionary tapping into something beyond our reality, or a master storyteller spinning cosmic mysteries for a curious audience? Watch the video version here. Have ghost stories of your own? Encounters x324 - Ghosts on the Girls’ Trip

3/26/2026
We’re packing our bags for a spooky girls’ trip episode where the only itinerary is haunted vibes, chaotic energy, and paranormal encounters that seem to happen whenever the girls get together. In this episode we read listener stories about bachelorette parties, road trips, and weekend getaways that took a turn into the supernatural. Ghost photobombs, objects moving on their own, possible UFO sightings, and more. When you travel with your besties, sometimes a few spirits join the party too. Stories include: On a girls’ trip to New Orleans, a selfie at Lafitte’s Blacksmith Shop features the infamous face in the fireplace—perhaps the face of the ghostly flasher from Sabrina’s bachelorette party. A quiet sleepover style bachelorette party takes a wild turn when a balloon glides across the kitchen and pulls streamers down like a playful spirit is joining the celebration. Two best friends driving through the Appalachian mountains witness a UFO moving at an impossible speed. At an Airbnb wedding weekend, a Polaroid photo captures a tall figure in the hallway while guests experience missing phones, memory gaps, and heavy energy at the house. A birthday cocktail outing inside a historic Halifax house becomes unforgettable when a Snapchat video reveals a second face right beside the listener’s. Watch the video version here. Episode 365 - Frightmare Manor | Appalachia’s Haunted Murder House

3/22/2026
**Content Warning: This episode contains discussions of homicides, suicide and torture** This week we’re back in spooky Appalachia to explore a haunted attraction that might be a little too real. Sitting on 20 acres of a former Tennessee plantation is Frightmare Manor. The haunt’s story centers on Jeremiah Lexer, the former plantation owner who was secretly a serial killer, the shocking 1902 axe murders that exposed his crimes, and a pit of bodies believed to hold dozens of missing locals. It’s a dark legend that raises a bit of an eyebrow when you realize it’s now being used as entertainment. Today the property is one of the country’s most popular haunted attractions, with a challenge so intense that almost no one completes it. Yet staff and visitors report shadow figures, strange noises, moving objects, and a man carrying an axe in the manor windows. So we have to wonder… are the scares just part of the show, or is something else haunting Frightmare Manor? Episode 358 - The Philadelphia Experiment

We’re unpacking one of the most infamous paranormal conspiracies in U.S. history: the Philadelphia Experiment. During World War II, the Navy allegedly attempted to make a warship invisible—and instead triggered something terrifying. After a flash of green light, possible time travel and teleportation, the sailors who survived returned mentally shattered and physically disfigured. Serving as a chilling prequel to last week’s episode on the Montauk Project, this story spirals into secret experiments, an unsettling connection between the two, and a possible bridge through time. Our listeners share spine-chilling stories rooted in cultural folklore and lived terror—tales of spirits who predict the future, impersonate loved ones, and inflict physical harm. Between the laughter, the disbelief, and the full-body chills, this episode reminded us why some ghost stories stay with you long after the episode ends. Stories include: An encounter in rural Pakistan where a possessed girl speaks in a jinn’s voice—and accurately predicts a devastating medical diagnosis A haunted family home in Cebu where something mimics loved ones so perfectly it carries on 20-minute conversations A terrifying childhood experience in Vietnam involving a crying woman in a church, prophetic dreams, and a ghostly warning that may have saved a life A Malaysian family spirit passed down through generations, bound to a dagger that mysteriously disappears, reappears, and may be choosing its next owner Watch the video version here. Episode 357 - The Montauk Project

1/25/2026
What’s stranger than Stranger Things? The story that inspired the show — an alleged government program called the Montauk Project. This week, we’re putting on our tinfoil hats and diving into the conspiracy that claims a quiet Long Island military base was the site of secret experiments involving psychics, mind control, time travel, and something that may have torn a hole in reality itself. Between whispered cover-ups, chilling testimonies, and a mysterious radar tower that still looms over the landscape, this story feels like sci-fi. Was the Montauk Project a real extension of documented government experiments, or did one story spiral into a full-blown paranormal legend complete with monsters and memory wipes?
