Love Conquers All with Dr. Berlinda Love

We look to the author and finisher of our faith to supply our needs, whether they are emotional, physical, or spiritual. God, through His Son Jesus Christ, promises to give us everything that we need, although not everything that we want. He desires that we have full faith and trust in Him to provide these things and we must go to Him in prayer requesting specifically what we need and then patiently await the answer. Once received we must act accordingly and give thanksgiving to God for our blessings. Our Heavenly Father is not stingy. He owns the cattle on a thousand hills and he clothes the birds of the air and the lilies of the field. Do you believe that He will do even more for us? Psalm 23 reminds us that “the Lord is our shepherd and we shall not want.” God shows favor to us in our weakest moments. He is a healer, way maker, miracle worker, promise keeper, and light in the darkness. How much better could He be to us? In return for his goodness we must demonstrate true dedication, faithfulness, and thanksgiving to the all wise God.

The environment is in a critical state of disrepair as I see it. However, much of the damage that has been and is being done to planet Earth can be reversed if done in a timely fashion. Pollution of the air, land, and sea is worsening instead of getting better because of man’s inhumanity to man. Yes, we are our own worst enemy - humanity. While our interest is in comfort rather than protection of our natural resources including our children, we are in essence creating a much different world for future generations to live in than the one that we enjoyed growing up. This show is to motivate listeners everywhere to do whatever they can to control pollution, clean up their neighborhoods, and be kind to Mother Earth.

This is the first of several shows that I will do leading up to the Presidential election in the United States. I focus on the diversity of countries around the world who have had female leaders for years. We humbly remember the Queen Elizabeth II who reigned from 1952-2022, and there are many women around the globe currently holding positions of President, Prime Minister, and other positions. I remember Indira Gandhi who served as a stateswoman, Indian politician, and prime minister of India from 1966-1977 and then from 1980-1984 often referred to as “Iron Lady.” The United States has been blessed with a female in the White House, Vice President Kamala Harris. If not now then when? If not us then who? I quite John E. Lewis, “If not us then who? if not now then when?” (misquoted in the audio). Also, I’m reminded of President Kennedy when he said, “Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country.” *Please note: I misquoted the name of President Kennedy in the show but should have been John Lewis.

The text used for this show is Proverbs 16 in entirety. My purpose in selecting this passage is to reinforce to others the totality of God’s control in our lives, and how choosing to follow His better way leads to abundant blessings unimaginable. Regardless of our desires and wants, only the Will of our Heavenly Father will be established in the end. We do not have the Lord’s eyes nor his thoughts. Thus, our knowledge is no competition with His wisdom. Essentially we are puppets dancing to the tune of a mighty puppeteer. Hence, as He guides our predestined path we must follow. Without God we can do nothing, like a ship without a sail, just floating in the water and going nowhere. Choose the straight and narrow way where blessings untold await.

God is faithful to His Word and we must believe and trust in Him to help us in times of need. Trouble has been in the world since its creation, and it will come to each of us in time. We must understand that God hears and answers all prayers. When we feel downtrodden and alone, God is near us. When our souls are tormented by principalities and powers of darkness, He is there to comfort us. He promises never to leave or forsake us. Through it all, we must learn to depend upon God’s grace and mercy to carry us through. Never give up. It is a precious gift to be in the family of God.

Many people fail to realize the importance of praising God in their daily lives. They often feel that their situations are bleak, not hopeful or encouraging and unlikely to have a favorable outcome. However, God has a treasure trove of blessings just waiting to be given to those who believe in his Word and have faith and trust in Him to help us in times of need. We must always remember to praise Him regardless of what life sends our way, and thank him for the bounty of His goodness that we have already received. If God never does another thing for us He’s done enough. However, with each morning comes new mercies. We must continue to praise Him no matter what. That is not a choice, but a command. God will never leave us or forsake us. A childhood hymn reminds us of this teaching early in life: Praise Him, Praise Him all the little children. God is love, God is love. Praise Him, Praise Him all the little children. God is love, God is love.

The central theme of this show is belief or faith in oneself and in God’s Word. We will encounter many trials and tribulations in our journey through life. These situations are often more than we think we can bear. However, faith gives us peace in knowing that trouble is temporary. We can conquer the obstacles of life by believing in God’s power to overcome them. Keeping a positive mindset, regardless of any crisis, will leave room for Christ to enter your heart with His wonder-working power to heal our brokenness. Overall we must keep the faith, believe in ourselves, persevere through dark times, and be thankful for our blessings. Stay close to God and He will stay close to you. Nothing can separate us from God’s love and providential care, except for our unbelief. Why must we thank Him for our problems? Because otherwise we would not know that He can solve them.

The message in this show comes from my personal medical concern and what it meant for someone to take the time to pray for me. I was immediately at ease and worry free for the moment. There are many people needing prayer around the world and this is a plea for everyone to join hands virtually and pray continually for others. When prayers go up blessings come down. Trials and tribulations will come to us all, but God is a doctor in the sick room and He has never lost a case. We must trust Him and believe in His Word, and hold fast to our faith regardless of what happens in our lives. Listeners are encouraged to set aside a meditation time with God every day, and as they listen to my prayer to call out the names of everyone that is in need of prayer. God hears all sincere prayers, and He will answer in the fullness of time.

Today, Father’s Day 2024, we pray for fathers everywhere. They are charged by God to raise their children in the fear and admonition of the Lord and to love them unconditionally. The Bible speaks to both parents and children. Children are charged to always honor their parents, thereby receiving the reward of a long life. Parents are instructed to raise their children with compassion and love not provoking them to wrath. Happy Father’s Day to all living and Heavenly fathers. We give thanks and homage to you on your special day.

Matthew 5:16 states, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in Heaven.” The purpose of this show is to reinforce the understanding that Jesus Christ, the Son of God is an exact replica of God’s glorious light, as the Son and Father are one. We are to reflect their light in our daily lives, just as the most precious stone, a diamond, reflects the light around it, and as we shine brightly in quietude others will see our Heavenly glow and be drawn nearer to the Savior. The illumination of God’s light is much brighter than the greatest star in the universe, the sun. It is where we must be in times of trouble, whereas darkness will lead us away from God’s magnificent love. We will prevail with God on our side.

My biblical references for this show are from the Old Testament book of Ecclesiastes. Solomon, son of King David is considered the richest and wisest man of the earth. He is credited for writing this book, which is a journal or diary of Ecclesiastes the preacher. It tells about his life as an older person looking back on the folly of his youth, seeing the life that he once lived and wishing that he could start anew. Early in the book he speaks of life being meaningless. Everything repeats itself and there is nothing new under the sun. However in chapters three through ten God is acknowledged as the giver of all gifts. The message is that life is very fragile and fleeting. There is no time to waste and it is imperative that we cherish the people that we love for the time that we have them. Quality of life is better than quantity. We cannot go back in time, but we can change our course in the now and future by putting God first and praising Him always and in all situations, whether good or bad. God is the source of everything that we have whether great or small and we must be thankful and live in His Will.

We all have a divine purpose to fulfill in life, although we may not have acknowledged the fact that God can use us in a special way. This show is to encourage my listeners and motivate them to look into themselves, and to dig deep down inside their hearts to find what has been there all the time, their true calling. The first thing, however, is that we love ourselves because that is the greatest love of all. This is important because we will encounter stumbling blocks along the way. Also, we do not have to be perfect or to have lived without faults. God can use whomever He wants, whenever He wants, and how He wants. We are all works in progress in that regard. Quotes are shared from motivational speaker Zig Ziglar as encouragement and motivation to keep a positive mindset while enduring challenges, and continue following the destiny that God had planned for each of us. The door has been opened to a great life ahead. Preparing for a job or position in life can be tiresome. However, having a sense of direction will enable us to succeed while maintaining permanent independence and security. We must thank God always, because His grace and mercy brought us through.

Mother’s Day is a celebration and recognition of mothers everywhere, especially those who have transitioned to Heaven. It is a time of showing love to the one who gave us life, and raised us in the fear and admonition of the Lord, so that our lives would be blessed and complete, and sometimes the person who filled in the gap when many birth mothers were not there for whatever reasons. We are thankful for all mothers and those who were like a mother to someone else’s child. Let us remember only the good things for they have kept us over the years and made us who we are. Love your mother while you can, as the day will come when she is no longer. Remember that material gifts are great but the things that will be most meaningful to mama are your love and affection. Tell her, “Mama I’ll always love you,” and watch the glow in her face. Happy Mother’s Day!

The theme for the 2024 National Day of Prayer is “Lift up the Word, Light up the World.” We are to pray for leaders around the world and the constituents of countries that they cover and watch over. Proverbs 29:14 says, “If a king judges the poor with truth, his throne will be established forever. All leaders have moral obligations. Matthew 20:26 states, “But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant.” Leaders are servants first. Psalms 133:1 says, “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity.” Unity is a common goal both leaders and followers should strive for. Finally, Acts 20:28 states, “Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to care for the church of God, which He obtained with His own blood.” Leaders look after the best interest of their people. The only way to bring the world out of darkness is to be lights in our respective countries, states, and cities. The more light in the world, the less darkness will exist, and the less devastation, fear, and hatred there will be. There is enough work for everyone and we are all ministers for God according to the Bible. There is wonder working power in prayer. I am a believer and the question to my listeners is, “Are you?” Prayer is how we communicate with God, the source of our supply. May He bless those in foreign lands, and may He bless the United States of America.

This show is motivational and reinforces the fact that we all have a life that must be guarded carefully, because it is full of swift transitions. Tomorrow is not promised to us and time does not wait on us. We must focus on what lies ahead and stay true to the course, while dealing with the hand that we have been dealt by life. The word, no, is not an option for having a good mindset and inside motivation to achieve. Networking with others who are successful in what we aspire to do is imperative. In so doing we will circumvent much of the bureaucratic red tape. The audience is encouraged to live life to the fullest while time is on their side. Their challenge question is: Can you only believe that you can become whatever you want by God’s grace? God for us is more than the whole world against us.

This show features an extremely gifted woman of God, Pastor Joyce Meyer. She uses personal testimony to encourage her audience to remain positive in life regardless of their circumstances, as our troubles may be a blessing to someone else. The enemy, according to Mrs. Meyer, despises anything Godly about us and will impede our progress by any means necessary. In essence she is teaching us how to be Christian in a world that is not Christian to us. Pastor Meyers reminds the audience that we must give mercy in order to receive mercy. She quotes several scriptures and the one that stands out is Ephesians 5:20 which she rephrased to say, “Thank you God for my problem,” because our hurts and pains may stretch us but the end result is our growth. God’s lifetime calling is on every Christian as ministers, and there is no turning back. She shares biblical figures that attempted to run from God, but eventually accepted His call. When God wants us to do something we will not be happy until we do it. Finally, she differentiates between Christian’s and Non-Christians and challenges everyone to bring light into a dark world.

Motivational Speaker Les Brown’s quotes are used to inspire listeners to pursue their dreams in spite of obstacles and naysayers. The audience is encouraged to lay aside every weight and run with patience the race that is set before them. The urgency of life and the unpredictability of time places emphasis on doing it now, rather than later. Also, we must set tangible goals and seek credible mentors who can make our path to success brighter. Procrastination leads to death of our dreams and failure to leave a legacy for the world. We must live full and die empty days Mr. Brown.

This purpose of this show is to empower listeners to take control of their future success by using their past failures and problems as stepping stones. I share quotes from motivational speaker Anthony Robbins who was able to rise above his negative childhood and draw strength to accomplish his goals by believing in himself and giving back. Many failures in life are due to thinking far below what we are able to achieve. It is the belief in ones ability to scale to the highest that will land them in places never though reachable. He teaches millions of people how to change their mindset and become happy and in full control of their lives.

The gifts and talents that God gives us are to edify His Kingdom here on Earth. His Word commands that we bless others with the harvest that we receive from Heaven, realizing that God alone will get the glory. It is imperative that we put our personal agendas aside and give ourselves wholly to Him so that He can use us, and it is never too late to discover those hidden talents that were there all the time, just waiting to be revealed. Time is of the essence. Therefore, our gifts should be used throughout our lives and not at the culmination of our working careers. The end result should be a sense of happiness and fulfillment of the calling that God has placed on us as Christians.
