Are you perpetually single? Do you want longer-lasting relationships? Tired of the miscommunication and misunderstandings? Wish you were better in bed? Advice from experts as well as real talk from real people so that you can see you are not alone in your thoughts and experiences. I talk about sex in my stand-up comedy and people often tell me that I say what they are thinking but are too afraid to say or admit it to their partners; too taboo they think. We'll talk about books we've read on dating, relationships and sex so that you can gain knowledge without having to read all the books yourself. I'll interview people on both sides of an issue: people who are great at dating and unsuccessful at dating...learn from the person who's great and also learn what not to do! We'll do the same with sex and relationships so that you can learn what works so you don't need to repeat others' past mistakes. I'll interview sex coaches and love coaches. We intend this to be a how-to guide. Hit follow and join us! Want to be a guest on Straight from the Source's Mouth: Frank Talk about Sex and Dating? A Match.com Scientist Explains How Singles Date Today #132

4/21/2026
One statistic stopped us cold: a meaningful slice of American singles say they’ve had a “romantic relationship” with AI, not just a quick chat or a joke, but ongoing emotional companionship and intimate conversation. That’s where our conversation with Dr. Amanda Gesselman goes first, and it opens a bigger question about what connection looks like in 2026 when dating, sex, and technology keep colliding. Dr. Gesselman leads Sex and Relationship Science at Match.com and researches intimacy at the Kinsey Institute, so she’s not guessing, she’s working from the annual Singles in America survey. We get into how Gen Z, millennials, Gen X, and baby boomers differ on sexual activity, committed monogamy, and openness to non-monogamous relationships like open relationships and polyamory. We also talk about age gap relationships and what people actually say they’re looking for when they date someone 10+ years older or younger. Then we shift to porn use and the real-world impact many singles report: unrealistic expectations about bodies, doubts about sexual performance, and pressure that can follow people into new relationships. From there, we zoom out to dating strategies. Most singles say they’re open to a relationship, but far fewer are actively dating, and the apps are still the dominant path. At the same time, we hear signs of a swing back toward in-person meetups and a jump in people using professional matchmakers. We also unpack the “misconception gap” in heterosexual dating: men feeling assumed to want only casual sex, women feeling assumed to be materialistic, and how that misread creates burnout even while romantic optimism stays stubbornly strong. If you like research-backed dating advice with real numbers and real nuance, subscribe, share this with a friend, and leave a review so more people can find the show. Alluring energy, Flirting and Finding Love #131

4/14/2026
Dating can make smart, capable people feel weirdly powerless. One minute you’re hopeful, the next you’re stuck in the texting spiral, overanalyzing every message, and wondering why the spark never turns into something real. I sit down with dating coach Alana McKenzie Page to talk about what actually changes your results, and why “trying harder” often backfires when it’s coming from anxiety and overthinking. Alana shares how she went from feeling ignored and mismatched for years to building a relationship that felt easy, connected, and genuinely fun. We dig into the idea that dating success is not a personality trait. Flirting, communication, and emotional presence are skills you can learn, whether you need simple tools or deeper support after heartbreak. We also explore her body-based approach from her book The Art of Feminine Seduction, including why getting out of your head and back into your body can help you create chemistry, attraction, and intimacy that lasts beyond a couple of exciting dates. You’ll also hear practical flirting tips for real life and online dating, why specific compliments beat “Hi how are you,” and a thoughtful take on the dating ick: when it’s a true incompatibility and when it might be a cue to check your own boundaries or emotional availability. If you’re tired of dating apps, craving real connection, and curious about “alluring energy” through a tantric and Taoist lens, this conversation will give you a clearer path forward. Subscribe, share this with a friend who’s burnt out on dating, and leave a review so more people can find the show. Send us Fan Mail Support the show Thanks for listening! Why Most Relationships Fail And How A Simple Happiness Formula Can Save Yours #130

4/7/2026
Most people gamble on love. We make big promises on small information, then wonder why chemistry fizzles into conflict. Today we pull the curtain back with Anil Gupta—TEDx speaker, triple best-selling author, and the “Love Doctor”—to share a clear framework for happiness and a practical method to choose partners who are truly safe for your heart. We start with G³, a simple formula that compounds well-being. From there, we connect happiness to attraction: when your inner state shifts, so does the quality of people you draw in. Then we dismantle the guesswork in dating. Anil introduces ABCD. The heart of the conversation is forgiveness. Letting go of resentment toward parents, exes, and yourself clears the residue that distorts attraction and reactions. Love stops being a slot machine and becomes a craft you can learn. If this conversation moves you, share it with a friend who needs clarity in love, hit follow, and leave a review with the one question you’ll ask on your next date. Your story might help someone else find the courage to choose better. Send us Fan Mail Support the show Thanks for listening! Getting Out Of Your Head Can Actually Save Your Relationship #128

3/24/2026
What if the traits we celebrate in men—toughness, self-reliance, powering through—are the very habits pulling them away from health, love, and purpose? Men’s embodiment coach Jason Lange joins us to trace how boys are taught to leave their bodies, why that blunts emotion and intimacy, and how to rebuild connection from the ground up. We dig into the invisible training many boys receive: stop crying, sit still, think your way out. Jason explains how emotions begin as sensations and how years of numbing make it hard to identify, let alone share, what’s real. From the “Man Box” to the dysfunction of swipe culture, we unpack the pressures that reward status over presence and leave too many men isolated. Then we pivot to solutions. Jason breaks down the power of men’s groups—small circles that rewire the nervous system for safety and belonging. You’ll hear how vasopressin and oxytocin shape bonding and help men connect, and how simple somatic practices unlock grief, fear, and anger without letting those states run your life. If this conversation resonates, share it with someone who needs it, hit follow, and leave a quick review so more people can find the show. Your words help others step out of the Man Box and into real connection. Send us Fan Mail Support the show Thanks for listening! #119 Inside Professional Matchmaking: How Real Introductions Beat The Apps

1/20/2026
Looking for love without the burnout? We sit down with Cheryl Maida, Director of Matchmaking at Matchmaking.com, to explore how high-quality, values-driven introductions can replace endless swiping with genuine connection. Cheryl has spent nearly 16 years guiding singles through a noisy dating landscape, and she lays out a clear path from fatigue to fit: fewer introductions, deeper screening, and coaching that helps you focus on what actually sustains a relationship. We dig into the real tradeoffs between dating apps and professional matchmaking: speed and volume versus trust and compatibility. Cheryl explains how her team interviews every client, screens for core values, life goals, and personality, and crafts concise bios that go beyond photos. You’ll hear why long checklists sabotage momentum, how to narrow to your three or four non-negotiables, and what happens when you challenge assumptions about age and body type. Her story about revealing age last—after interest sparks from substance—shows how often we’re drawn to energy and lifestyle over a number. The conversation also tackles the modern mess: scams, ghosting, and even AI-generated profiles that make it harder to trust what you see. Cheryl shares practical ways to meet people offline with intention plus small social habits that make you more approachable. We cover who can join her database, why women are free and men are clients, the firm boundaries she holds with misaligned expectations, and the expanding niches her team supports, including a fast-growing community of gay men and professionals across the country. If you want a smarter strategy for dating—one built on clarity, compatibility, and credible introductions—this conversation offers a hopeful reset. Subscribe, share with a friend who’s swiped out, and leave a review to tell us which dating “rule” you’re ready to rethink. #118 Dating Feels Like HR; Let’s Fix That

1/13/2026
Dating shouldn’t feel like an HR interview. We dive straight into how personhood forms through early bonds and how those patterns quietly script who we chase, who we avoid, and why some relationships feel like home while others feel like work. Jack Bohanan, certified Somatic relationship coach, brings a grounded, experiential approach to attachment that moves beyond labels and into lived change—where the body, boundaries, and honest feedback reshape your style of relating. We unpack the classic anxious–avoidant loop in plain language and talk about how to build secure behaviors without turning your identity into a diagnosis. Jack explains why Somatic’s client-centered, experiential sessions can feel “more therapeutic than therapy,” including consent-based touch, explicit boundary practice, and practitioner ownership of projections. You’ll hear simple but powerful skills—receiving a compliment without deflecting, pausing for regulation, and making small specific requests—that create a new internal map you can carry into love. Then we zoom out to culture. Jack shares a vivid story from Colombia that contrasts U.S. dating with unfiltered feminine expression and examines the current tug-of-war between gender essentialism and neutrality. Biology matters, but it isn’t destiny; roles evolve with safety, technology, and independence. #115 Are You Compatible Or Truly Aligned?

12/23/2025
What if the health of your relationship depends less on finding the “right person” and more on becoming your truest self? That’s the lens we bring to a frank, generous conversation with conscious relationship coach, intuitive guide, and author LaShawn McCrary. We explore why inner work is the starting line for aligned love, how to tell compatibility from true alignment, and what it takes to build a relationship where both partners feel safe enough to be fully seen. We also highlight LaShawn’s two books. I Am Not An Option is a call to own your truth in dating—if you want marriage, say it, and let misaligned partners pass. Before We Go Any Further is a pre‑engagement workbook that guides couples through the conversations most skip: division of labor with kids, money expectations, boundaries around social media, conflict styles, and long‑term goals. You’ll leave with questions that protect your future, language for asking your partner for what you need, and a compass for building agreements instead of assumptions. If this resonates, share it with someone you care about, hit follow to get new episodes, and leave a quick review telling us one hard conversation you’re ready to have. Your story might help someone else choose a braver love. Send us a text Support the show Thanks for listening! #114 Play, Power, And Healing In Bed

12/16/2025
What if the fastest path to honest intimacy starts with a character, a costume, and permission to play? We sit down with clinical sexologist and author Dr. Stephanie Hunter Jones to unpack how role play, cosplay, and power dynamics can help couples move beyond shame, reconnect with desire, and build durable trust. You’ll hear how stepping into a role creates enough distance from self-judgment to try new scripts, feel new sensations, and communicate needs without flinching. We talk through the nuts and bolts of power dynamics in long-term relationships and how they quietly shape arousal, initiation, and resentment. From sexual anorexia as a form of control to erectile dysfunction’s emotional roots, we explore the biology-psychology-relationship triad and offer practical next steps: assessment, slow experimentation, grounding exercises, and gentle, pressure-free touch. For listeners exploring open relationships, Stephanie outlines how to pace the transition with boundaries, check-ins, and a clear sense of why now. Along the way, we return to a core truth: penetration and orgasm are a small slice of intimacy. Play, curiosity, and self-worth do the heavy lifting. Connect with Stephanie’s work, including Beyond the Costume and resources at StephanieHunterJones.com, and remember—authenticity often starts with a little make-believe. Enjoyed the conversation? Follow the show, share it with a friend, and leave a quick review so more people can find frank, stigma-free sex and dating education. Send us a text Support the show Thanks for listening!
