While engaged in mortal combat, Feredir and Túrin clash the sister swords of Angirel and Anglachel (Gurthang) together. This causes a grand explosion that breaks both blades.

Before they arrive, they encounter some long passed associates of Túrin: Finduilas of Nargothrond, Beleg Cúthalion of Doriath, and Mîm the Petty-dwarf. They don't look happy about being brought back to life, for ill-purpose.
