Adam Potter wanted nothing more than for his boyfriend, Patrick Valdez, to move into his apartment to be stress free. But with his reoccurring nightmares caused by a trauma from his past, Adam had to cave in and start seeing a therapist. Patrick’s thrilled for the day when he would be Adam’s roommate. Only he hadn’t yet told his parents. He knew his mother would be happy for him. His father was a different matter. Patrick wants to put his past behind him, but his ex-boyfriends won’t stop texting him, even from the grave. Detectives A.J. Chance and Artie Cutter get assigned to investigate a murder in a familiar part of town. The detectives discover the victim had a connection to an old case they thought was closed, involving Patrick Valdez's and A.J.'s past relationships with Detective Adam Potter. A killer is out hunting people down who were involved with Patrick’s deceased abusive ex, and Patrick’s on the killer’s radar.
