DRAIN & HardLore Behind The Scenes: "...Is Your Friend" Tour 2026
4/16/2026
A few weeks ago, Bo & I had the special privilege of traveling to Nashville to get an inside look into the making of DRAIN's "...Is Your Friend" U.S. tour with No Pressure, Haywire and Secret World, via our friends at Monster Energy.
This was our first OFFICIAL "assignment" on behalf of Monster since we started working with them officially in January, and it's a bittersweet example of what was to come of this dream partnership. We're so grateful for the memories that this has created since losing our beloved Bohan Lueders, for what has now become his penultimate HardLore episode ever.
We spent several days with the band & their crew made up entirely of hardcore musicians from bands like Rotting Out, Cosmic Joke, One Step Closer and more to give you all an inside look at their gear, production, and touring crew made up entirely other hardcore musicians. We hope you enjoy this unique episode that was a first and last for us as a duo, where Bo’s passion unique knowledge and passion for gear was on full display.
Go see them near you soon.
Head to hardloremerch.com to grab a Bo memorial t-shirt for an amazing cause that we can't wait to tell you more about soon...

Bo & Colin Interview Each Other (In Loving Memory of Bo Lueders)
4/9/2026
On April 2nd, 2026, the world lost Bo, and I lost my best friend.
I will have much more to say over time... But this episode was something that, upon time of recording (January, 2026), we decided was too intimate to post. We reviewed the initial cut (thank you Steven), and feared that once something so personal was out there, we couldn't ever take it back. We decided to store it and save it for off chance that we might some day feel comfortable posting it.
That day sadly came much sooner than either of us ever expected... This conversation, that I am now so thankful for, is a thorough look into our lives before & during the show. We came up with something like 100-150 questions before narrowing it down to this intimate conversation wherein we interviewed each other for the first, and last time.
The goal was not only to get to know each other in ways we didn't, but share something new and unique with you all. Now, all things considered, it is an absolute miracle. I expected going back through this to be painful and impossible, and it turned out to be some of the only comfort I've found since his passing. Suddenly he was here, back in the room with me, as he now is with all of you. I am writing this in haste basically on the way to his memorial, so I will let him speak for himself here now.
For Bo, Forever.

Freddy Madball Part 1: 1983 - 1994
3/26/2026
We’re joined by one of the marquee vocalists and frontmen in all of hardcore music: MADBALL vocalist Freddy Cricien, known to most simply as Freddy Madball.
In part 1 of this two-part 5 HOUR conversation, we discuss Freddy and Madball’s history from 1983 to 1994 - Discovering hardcore via his brother Roger Miret of Agnostic Front, starting Madball when he was just 11 years old, the “mad science” behind Ball of Destruction, following up with Droppin Many Suckers years later, and the massive endeavor of signing to Roadrunner Records at the height of the 90s hardcore boom for their debut album Set It Off… Much more to come next week.
A true landmark conversation for this show andone we’re thrilled to finally have made happen and to share with all of you. Thanks to Black Heart Barber Co. in Nashville for having us!

3/5/2026
After years of build up... We finally sit down in person with our good friend & Touché Amoré vocalist JEREMY BOLM in-person at The Pit Recording Studio.
We talk all about Jeremy's upbringing in Burbank, CA, and how he went from Nirvana and Michael Jackson to Sepultura and Earth Crisis... From facing adversity growing up due to his unique speaking voice & his early bands, to finding the courage to sing for Touché Amoré, breaking down their entire discography, including their now 10 year old landmark "Stage Four", grieving to the masses via the albums lyrics, working with Ross Robinson, and much more.
This is one of our most requested and anticipated guests of all time, by you and by us, and it lead to a conversation where I learned a lot about someone I've known for over 20 years.
Whether you like Touché, HardLore, or anything in between, there's something for everyone in this episode. See you at the Stage Four anniversary gig.

Jorge Rosado: Merauder, Making Master Killer, Remembering "Sob" & The Sepultura Audition
2/19/2026
Well, the day has finally arrived... After nearly four years of consistently praising Merauder's debut album, Master Killer (one of our favorite records ever) we're finally joined in person for a full length episode by vocalist Jorge Rosado.
We discuss his early life in Brooklyn, the Sunset Skins, meeting the late great Javier "Sob" Carpio, being asked to eventually join Merauder (& recording Master Killer just a few months later), the complicated timeline of Five Deadly Venoms, his love for the Eddie Leeway versions of the songs, the rejection of not landing the Sepultura gig and much, much, MUCH more.
A loaded episode that's been a long time coming. Thank you Jorge for joining us as we all celebrate 30 years of one of the best albums ever. Enjoy.

Frank "3 Gun" Novinec: Hatebreed, Ringworm, Integrity, Terror
2/5/2026
It's another historic day on HardLore, as we're joined by Frank Novinec (AKA Florida Frank/Frank 3 Gun) of Hatebreed, and formerly of Ringworm, Integrity, Terror and more.
We've often lauded him as having one of the best resumes in the history of the genre, and now we hear all about his introduction to music and eventually to hardcore. From raiding his parents' record collection, his lifelong connection with heavy metal (mostly KISS and Blue Oyster Cult), growing up in the Cleveland hardcore scene and starting RINGWORM, joining INTEGRITY during Systems Overload, playing TERROR while they were on the rise, all the way to now celebrating 20 years of being in HATEBREED.
An amazing insight to one of our favorite guys. Enjoy.

Walter Schreifels: Gorilla Biscuits, Quicksand, Youth of Today & Producing Title Fight
1/29/2026
We finally sit down with one of the greats at FYA Fest: Walter Schreifels of Gorilla Biscuits, Quicksand, Youth of Today, Rival Schools and MANY more.
In this long awaited discussion, we discuss the danger of NYHC in the 1980s and how surviving it to tell the tale was all just part of the fun that kept him coming back, Gorilla Biscuits being his first hardcore band/writing “Start Today” at 19 years old, the effect on his writing that being in Youth of Today had on him, expanding beyond hardcore for the first time with Quicksand, producing Title Fight’s “Shed” and much more.
A true legend in hardcore, punk and beyond and we’re honored and grateful to have shred this time with him. Thanks to Walter and all of you. Enjoy.

Anthony DiDio: From VEIN to FLESHWATER
1/15/2026
Welcome to HardLore.fm… Years in the making, we’re joined by longtime friend of the show Anthony Didio, vocalist of Vein and Fleshwater. We learn about his introduction to music, and how finding The Carrier early on lead to cutting his teeth at Anchor’s Up in the Merrimack Valley.
We discover his evolution as a musician: starting Vein, making the landmark instant classic “Errorzone” and their mature follow up “This World is Going to Ruin You,” and ending suddenly shortly after upon the meteoric rise of Fleshwater immediately after their breakout debut LP “We’re Not Here to Be Loved”
Now fresh off a tour with Deftones, their enormously ambitious sophomore LP “2000: In Search of the Endless Sky” and their biggest headlining tour ever, Anthony finally joins us for a long awaited (from us and from you) in-person sit down interview. Enjoy.

Craig Ahead: Straight Ahead Reunion, Sick of it All Hiatus, Quitting Youth of Today, Agnostic Front
1/1/2026
We're joined by one of the most iconic bass players in the history of hardcore music, Craig Setari AKA Craig Ahead of Straight Ahead and Sick of it All, and formerly of Youth of Today, Agnostic Front, Rest in Pieces and more.
We talked in depth about the short history, but long legacy of Straight Ahead, including their upcoming reunion on April 25th, 2026, why he chose to quit Youth of Today, joining Agnostic Front for "One Voice," and ultimately his career defining role for over 30 years in SICK OF IT ALL.
This is our first ever single full three hour sit down with a guest, and it’s for damn good reason. There are only so many pioneers of this genre, and Craig is one of the greatest to ever do it. Enjoy.

Mark Porter: 30 Years of FLOORPUNCH
12/11/2025
We're finally joined by Floorpunch vocalist Mark Porter for an in-depth, comprehensive conversation about the entire history of one of the best straight edge hardcore bands ever.
From the first time Porter witnessed someone Floorpunching at a show, their initial formation after being collectively frustrated at a Snapcase show while lamenting what hardcore had become by 1995, all the way through to their legendary "last show" at CBGBs with Breakdown and the Cro-Mags.
Grab your copy of Shining Life Press' incredible Floorpunch book, follow along with this extensive firsthand account of Floorpunch from 1995-2000 (and beyond) and enjoy this amazing episode with a bucket list guest for us and a band we love.

Anthony Green: Circa Survive's Break Up, Leaving Saosin, L.S. Dunes & Addiction
12/4/2025
We're joined by alternative music legend Anthony Green, former vocalist of Circa Survive & Saosin and currently of L.S. Dunes.
We sit down in person on the S.S. Neverender to discuss his life in music, from being in bands like Jeer at Rome and Audience of One as a teenager, to joining and quickly quitting Saosin after leaving his permanent mark on the band and an entire genre, starting Circa Survive immediately upon returning home, their recent (definitive) break up, the unexpected shock of being asked to join L.S. Dunes, and battling addiction through it all/balancing fatherhood for the last 15 years.
Thank you to Anthony for joining us and to all of you for watching this incredibly honest, thorough discussion with a truly one of a kind artist. ______________________
