Earl enlisted in the PA Army National Guard with his twin brother Joe, and the two began their Army training to become US Infantry Soldiers, just 10 days before the attacks of 9/11. Earl’s service took him to Bosnia, Iraq, and Afghanistan, where he lost his leg after his vehicle hit a roadside bomb. Earl talks about his recovery, and the unimaginable events that followed. Faced with adversity, Earl refused to quit. He now travels the country as a public speaker, inspiring others to find purpose after tragedy.
