As a kid, I was told that I had a damaged optic nerve. That's all the doctors knew. I didn't find out until I had an eye exam for getting a guide dog, at age 50, that I have Optic Nerve HHypoplasis, ONH. Getting this diagnosis didn't phase me until I just now learned about some of the other things that can go with it.

This episode is about my call to United Airlines Disability Services when the agent, "Susie," (woman with a foreign accent) told me I couldn't get help to my gate and between planes because they only offered blind people "directional assistance."
