Just a Person - Living Authentically through ADHD, PTSD, using CMI

9/12/2025
This episode is packed with goodies as we get down to it with our guest Estefana Johnson who shocked me when i asked her to describe herself. She noted that she was "Just a Person" and didn't read off a list of her many accomplishments. We talked about how you should live as your authentic self and never mask and be your real self. Later we got into how Estefana is leading the launch of Critical Memory Integration (CMI™), a groundbreaking therapeutic model that dares to ask: What if talk therapy isn’t enough? Estefana Johnson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and experienced trauma therapist with over two decades of experience in mental health. She began her career in 2001 as a Behavioral Health Technician, briefly stepping away in 2005 to teach in Japan. Her diverse background spans multiple roles and settings, including residential treatment for at-risk youth and medical social work. CMI is turning heads in the mental health world by challenging the long-held belief that trauma can simply be desensitized or cognitively reframed. Instead, it dives beneath the surface, helping clients uncover and rewrite the unconscious survival strategies still dictating their lives long after the trauma has passed. She is currently a Dosing Session Monitor at Lighthouse Psychiatry and TMS in Gilbert, Arizona, contributing both to clinical care and research trials exploring the therapeutic use of psychedelics. Real Plus and Premium Plus Special Episode

8/28/2025
This is a special episode explaining in detail the new changes coming up for OTR, if you want them. We are implementing a community forum and a quarterly blog for all in Real Plus. This is being done for three reasons. First to develop a community around healing from any Mental health condition and thriving. I think it’s important as we grow together to achieve Mental Health for Real. Secondly, to get direct input through a community forum and suggestion box that will make the show what the listener wants. And lastly to grow the show so we can increase our reach and implement better quality sound with just a little revenue. This will put us in a position to reach more people and book any guest we feel will help us. To do this I am implementing a Premium Package as part of Real Plus. The premium Package will have everything in basic Real Plus but so much more as described below and detailed in this short episode. Real Plus Premium – Subscribed Access Yearly Dividend – 5% of total earnings redistributed equally to listeners at year-end - So, this gives the advantage to the early subscribers, since the price will never go up no matter what extras we put in. So, if we raise the price over the years your actual value back rises from 5 percent and there is no cap. If the show some how goes viral, you will make more money than you pay for subscription. Potentially much more. . -If canceled mid-year, refund begins at end of the month -Refund is prorated based on the yearly rate - Any payment method is eligible -Credit card, Zelle, or other agreed-upon method I am thinking about a co-host for the 2026 season. I will keep you informed. Also, you may have noticed the logo has been changed in Facebook, Instagram and X. The Logo will officially change everywhere on November 1, 2025. Hopefully along with Real Plus. Which changes everything. The implementation of Real plus depends on you. I will have a post on Facebook, Instagram, and X. Please indicate your interest in the program tiers. Please "Like" the post, if you’re in for implementing Real Plus on November 1, Please "Love" or other than like the post, if you’re in for the Premium Package in Real Plus. Or send an email to Overtherainbowbob@gmail.com with the subject "Like" or "Love" and please indicate if you want to receive status updates of the project if we have 5 likes for Real Plus and/or 5 "Loves" for the Premium Package one or both It will be implemented For November 1 sign up and benefits. So the future of OTR is up to you. If we don't implement; I may offer the program at a later date. Hi, I'm God - Recovery and Thriving with Schizophrenia

7/31/2025
Dale Walsh has faced—and transcended—one of the most formidable mental health challenges: schizophrenia. His journey from the depths of psychosis to a place of clarity and purpose informs every aspect of his work. Through his unique "inside-out" perspective, Dale coaches families of individuals living with serious mental illness, helping them bridge emotional gaps and navigate their daily challenges with empathy and strength. Dale creates a nonjudgmental space for those often referred to as the “forgotten victims of mental illness”—the family members, caregivers, and loved ones who struggle to maintain connection. His method, called LIVELOVE (Learn–Integrate–Validate–Explore / Listen–Observe–Value–Express), offers not only a roadmap for meaningful dialogue, but a chance to reclaim personal identity in the midst of caregiving fatigue. This conversation honors both the pain and resilience that shape mental health narratives—and shines a light on the power of coaching, compassion, and lived experience. My Brain is Not Broken, it's Just Different - NueroSpicy, ADHD

4/29/2025
Join me in my interview with Dr. Kristen Williamson—licensed professional counselor, neurodivergent advocate, and proud ringleader of a “neurospicy” family. Her life is a whirlwind of late-night epiphanies, busting mental health myths, and finding joy in the chaos of navigating autism, ADHD, and parenting kids who keep her on her toes. She has always felt like she was dancing to her own beat—but nobody gave her the playlist. It wasn’t until adulthood that she discovered she was neurodivergent, and suddenly, her quirks and challenges made sense. That “ah-ha” moment didn’t just change her life—it gave her a mission to help others embrace their differences and thrive. Now, she combines humor, personal stories, and practical advice to tackle big topics like: - Why neurodivergent brains are the secret weapon every workplace needs. - How to turn “chaotic energy” into a leadership superpower. - And why mental health isn’t all doom and gloom. The Truth About Reading with Dyslexia - AI program that teaches Neurodiverse to read effortlessly

3/25/2025
Can it be true? Dyslexic and ADHDer David Chalk claims it's the real deal and I believe him. He is giving his Beta program away free if you sign up, at ReadingRoad.ai. David was on the documentary "The Truth About Reading" (streaming on TUBI) where he was taught how to read faster and comprehend more. I dare Dyslectics to watch this documentary without crying. He went from reading 1 book a year to reading easily 20 books a month. Listen to David's miraculous story about becoming a commercial airline pilot after being bullied in school and being told he would amount to nothing and wind up in jail or the streets. David credits his mother who taught him to always keep trying and have faith in yourself. Chalk has been involved in the technology industry for over 25 years, from being a commercial pilot to working in technology industries. His background began with video streaming during the early days of the internet. He developed the video engine for Yahoo! 1999, which generated $60m in capital. He created Canada’s technology magazine, Computer Buyer Magazine in 1983. In 1996, he established one of the longest-running technology shows in Canada ("Dave Chalk's Computer Show"). Chalk founded many companies including Doppler Computer Superstores, Chalk Media, Trees Matter, New Century Video Streaming, and CalmWear™ Compression Clothing for Autism and most recently he helps create Mentorship programs within organizations. This Podcast is not for profit, there are zero commercials and never will be. The website does not need your credit card. But you do need to hurry, because i believe he is limiting the beta test group at ReadingRoad.ai . You need a name and email address to receive the free Beta program. Goodbye Anxiety, Depression, Addiction & PTSD: The Life-Changing Science of Dual-Brain Psychology.

3/12/2025
Join me as I talk with Dr. Fredric Schiffer about his new book. Goodbye Anxiety, Depression, Addiction & PTSD: The Life-Changing Science of Dual-Brain Psychology. Dr. Fredric Schiffer is a sought-after public speaker, best-selling author, psychiatrist and part-time assistant professor at Harvard. Dr. Schiffer has a wealth of experience in psychiatry. He has been studying the relationship between past traumas, cerebral laterality, depression and anxiety. He has tremendous knowledge of Dual-Brain Psychology techniques. Through his groundbreaking work as founder of the Dual-Brain Psychology Institute, he discovered that the brain is made up of two minds which are competing for dominance. When the immature and troubled half of the brain is treated, Dual-Brain Psychology techniques can successfully curb anxiety, depression, PTSD, and addiction, and improve psychological wellbeing. The doctor believes that many mental issues originate from early traumas and very often it’s trauma that has not been recognized. Dr. Schiffer has discovered a technique to treat the troubled mind using something as unlikely as a piece of junk mail. This new book details the innovative new procedure to relieve the symptoms of these major mental issues. We go over the main points of the technique in this episode. You don’t want to miss it. Advocacy for Inclusion - Neurodivergent Acceptance into Society

2/22/2025
This is a important episode. Khushboo Chabria and I have a discussion on the inclusion of Neurodivergents in society, especially in the workplace and education. That neurodiversity, like ADHD and Autism is not a mental disorder. Each person is important and desires accommodations for the type of brain that were born with. Khushboo Chabria is a dynamic neurodiversity specialist, career coach, and mental health advocate who's reshaping how organizations embrace nuerodistinct talent. She is coauthor of the book "Neurodiversity for Dummies" and wrote the entire chapter on ADHD. Through her work with Neurodiversity Pathways at Goodwill of Silicon Valley, Khushboo isn't just opening doors; she's transforming entire workplace cultures, building bridges between neurodivergent talent and meaningful careers. Drawing from her background as a therapist, her leadership expertise, and her own journey with ADHD, Khushboo brings an authentic, multi-faceted perspective to neurodiversity advocacy. Sleep Lists for the Sleepless

2/10/2025
Today’s guest is Helen Sernett, host of the podcast Sleep lists. She is a Sleep and Wellness Enthusiast. Her podcast reads a list of items usually in numerical, chronological, or alphabetical order that are all part of the same category. Simple but effective and she hopes no one gets to the end of the show. If you’re still awake at the end , she suggests some ideas for drifting off to sleep. Helen suggests stringing a few episodes together if you need a little more time to drift off to dreamland. Six episodes per season, each season is published quarterly. Creating Spaces with Natalie Bedard (ADHD, PTSD,OCD)

1/11/2025
Meet Natalie Bedard (NatNat) an Energy healing Specialist: Regulating the Nervous System & Relieving Emotional & Mental Pain Transforming Anxiety into Empowerment through her brand LiftOneSelf. Natalie has been a guest on several podcasts where she spoke about the importance of well-being and self-care. It is crucial to expand our self-awareness and understand our biology. She believes that everyone is unique, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach to self-care. This is a very special episode as NatNat analyzes yours truly. I talk and cry about the demons that whisper negative thoughts into my head. I think many listeners can relate to my situation. She offers many good ideas to battle hose voices and achieve a more balanced state of mind. We go through a short meditation session, and she offers advice which is very spiritual. Don’t miss this episode and you may need a box of Kleenex as I get it all out. By no means do I think I have it all together, I am traveling towards home just like you. Let's start season 10 – the best season ever. Successfully Treating ADHD (also Polyamory discussed)

11/1/2024
Meet Anneke Elmhirst, a very interesting person who deals with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). I still think the diagnosis of ADHD is wrongly named since you don’t have to be Hyperactive. Also, I believe ADHD is just a different type of brain that has it’s advantages like hyperfocus and thinking out of the box. It is only a disorder from the viewpoint of the neurotypical. Anneke also thinks she has some Autistic symptoms. Find out how Anneke helps herself with her lack of focus and concentration. She also does virtual counseling for neurodivergent who are able to converse on the phone. Check out her website included in the description of this episode. The last half of the episode (about 21 minutes in) we go into her unusual practice of Polyamory which is the practice of, or the desire for, romantic relationships with more than one partner at the same time, with the informed consent of all partners involved. I know this is controversial and I don’t agree or disagree with this lifestyle. However, I thought it important to discuss and keep it real. If you want to bypass this section, please listen only to the first half for our discussion on ADHD. In any case this is an informative episode that I hope you enjoy. Real - Best of "OTR - Achieving Mental Health for Real" Part 2

9/28/2024
Come Join us for the second part of Real “the best of OTR – Achieving Mental Health for Real”. Part 2 picks up the remaining episodes of 2020 and the first part of 2021. This information packed episode brings you practical advice on how you can recover from any mental health conditions. I like to dedicate this Real series to my guest in 2020 Dr. Allyson Boodram MD (Pediatrician). She died with lung cancer in 2022 caused by the 9/11 tragedy 21 years later from working in the toxic environment as a nurse. I hope you can relate and get information and inspiration to start a real recovery program from the Real series. It also became apparent that I will need a fourth episode of Real to cover the excellent information in the podcast. So, part three will be released on our five year anniversary October 23rd. Part 4 will come out soon after that.
